I'm just gonna make this as I noticed people still using the December 2020 purchasing thread (and boy do I wish to leave 2020 behind). Maybe we should make a large continuous thread for purchases?

Perhaps it would be simpler (if its possible) to have the December thread renamed to remove the month and then just have that one indefinitely.

A new monthly thread every month seems fine. Some really long continuous threads are impossible to navigate using the search tool.

At a friend’s place, watching Wrestling Kingdom 15, and HOLY SHIT he just gave me some Newtype magazines he’s cleaning out from 2004. Tons of stuff on Kamen Rider, Sentai, and Ultra. I’ll probably post more pictures later, if that’s what people want?

Ohh Newtype The Live - the tokusatsu dedicated spin off of Newtype! Those are even less common stateside. My local Japanese bookstores only carry the regular Newtype. Wait is Newtype The Live even still around???

That is so awesome; really like how Blade-centric those seem to be, too. Like, I said at the end of your Faiz thread that Blade is a party everyone is invited to, and... like, it's this indescribable thing that probably only makes sense to me, but Blade just seems like a fun Rider to find some old magazine coverage about?

It's always especially funny if it's promotional material from before the show aired, because nobody had the slightest clue back then how many memes these characters would inspire.

First stuff of the new year. Ex-Aid so-dos age weirdly. I really only stuck to like, blatantly needed stickers, with how hard it was to keep them on for sealing.

Also dipped on minipla for the first time! It was nice. Building stuff feels so good to look back on.

First toys of the year, and boy are they some toys to start it off with! I didn't even have them in the same package, they just arrived at the same time -- it's a sign!

Part of me wants to see how the RKF armors squeeze into the SHFs. I've seen customs doing that.

Well the figures they’re made for have a) holes in the legs and b) removable belts and Ridewatch holders to support the “equip” process. And I don’t own any Figuarts, so I can’t help you.

I found stuff today! I payed only 20.18 (after a 9.75% tax) for king sphinx today! He was only 22 dollars at gamestop and I got 4 dollars off because of the daily sale they were having!

Also I'm keeping a whopping 1 of these figures potentially since my friends also want them, and I can be too nice sometimes! (except the monsters which I bought explicitly to send to my SO)

SHF Kazuma the Shell Bullet - One of the main characters from s-CRY-ed, one of my favorite anime of all time. If you've never seen it, I can't recommend it enough. Such a great show.

SHF SS Ultimate Kuuga - Been a long time coming. Kuuga is a show that's very special to me, so I feel like I gotta go all-in on its Seihous. Can't wait for Dragon and Pegasus next month.

And oh man that Vegeto. Once I noticed how long his neck is, I couldn't un-notice it.

Huh. I hadn't noticed his neck before. I wonder if the head just isn't down all the way on the post? Or are my Vegetas and Gokus the same? IDK. they're all packed away right now, in theory so I can reorganize my display room.

Based on other people's' copies of the figure, the head is fine, the neck itself is too long. Makes me wonder if you can swap his neck with a Goku neck and have it look fine?

There's a story here. My Horobi was cancelled by my local reseller and gave me a refund. I initially wasn't willing to pay 100$ all in all for a Valkyrie, but since I had spare money and the refund, I hopped on to some facebook groups and eventually found someone selling Valkyrie. Unfortunate I couldn't get a Horobi, but maybe I'll take my chances on his other forms.
