Whoah! That was sooner than I was expecting. It looks good, though I'm still adjusting to the torso since it's still a little weird how only the limbs are thin while the body looks somewhat normal. I know they said the body was made using the original suit actor's proportions and mixing them up a bit to make him look alien, but I'm sure it'll grow on me, because some of the images they show look really good.

Yeah, give it time and see it in action I think people will warm up to the look. I am on board already only because I am curious of how extraterrestrial he is gonna feel and act in the movie.

Well, I did want to see him in Figuarts form.

Looks like I'll be getting a third Ultraman.

I want this, but I think I'm gonna wait and see if we get some sort of weird secondary form in the movie.

I wonder why he lacks a Color Timer? I guess they're trying to distance this version from Ultraman as far from the main series?

As many people explained already, Ultraman did not have the Color Timer as part of his original design. The timer was a last-minute addition to give the character a weakness in the series. Shin Ultraman went with the original design.

Awesome - was hoping they would reveal this after the teaser dropped. I wonder if it'll have some accessories they can't show us yet.

Holy Mother of Ultra. I knew he was thin, but I never realized just how different the body proportions are.

That being said, I think the new look is actually... better? Like, among the three, it's the classic suit figures that seem "wrong" to me now, Shin is more in line with the image of Ultraman I have in my head.

After seeing this, I kind of see where they're going by making him CG, since he has an unnatural look to him.

I really like the design despite how thin he is. That silver has such a gorgeous sheen to it. I do wish he had a specium ray effect though. That would add a lot of fun to such a simple release.

Yeah, I think the silver parts of his body kinda have an uncanny valley effect going on, but for some reason that overall unnatural feel does make this design stylish in its own way I think compared to the modified wetsuit look we are so familiar with.

Wow that was fast. But he does look a tad more alien than the normal Ultraman so I'll give them props for that.

Pre-order pages (most of which are sold out) show his only accessories are 3 pairs of hands

Please tell me this is not one of those releases where the accessories are included with other characters. Assuming they will make other characters in the line.

I genuinely don't know what they could make? You could say Neronga and Gabora but it's been a while since SHF have done a Kaiju aside from the Zetton re-issue, and I'm not sure how willing they'd be to devote a large box, price point and entirely new mold to huge monsters like that if they're not selling well.

I doubt it. It's following the trend of Ultraman figuarts where the only thing seemingly missing is his beam effect for his hand.

For all we know either he won't use it in the film (which I doubt), they're not listing it to keep how it looks secret like how they hid Shin Godzilla's atomic breath attack until the movie hit theaters (Possible) or he just flat-out doesn't get one.

They might be trying to avoid spoilers with the accessories? And the final figure will include stuff that hasn't been shown yet.

Seems like something rather strange to not include due to spoilers, but it isn't unprecedented. Another example being the original Iron Spider's spider legs.

Didn't expect this to sell out at places like AmiAmi as fast as it did.

But I guess they did the right thing revealing this shortly after the teaser dropped, same thing worked out with the Godzilla vs. Kong figures quite well.

Don't think I care much for the darker red color, maybe the figure looks different in person but the way he looks in the trailer and that one statue makes the red look like it should be brighter and much closer to the other SHF figures of Showa Ultras. Another reason to hold out for the improved version with the Spacium Beam effect, maybe? =P
