Retro Morphin' "Flip-Head" Ninjor Images Revealed!
"Behold the Power of Ninja!"
Walmart/Walmart.com Exclusive https://comicbook.com/powerrangers/n...head-figure/#3 |
I like how this is basically the DX toy minituarised! I hadn’t thought about figures like that before but I have to admit I like the idea
|
Looks great! I'm still waiting on the Yellow Ranger/Trini flip head
|
Limited quantities will also be available on Hasbro Pulse.

I had the original Deluxe release so I’d definitely want this version!

In retrospect, Ninjor/Ninjaman really was a good use of the flip-head gimmick. Fun fact for those unfamiliar, while Ninjor just "powers-up", his counterpart in Kakuranger, Ninjaman, becomes the powered-up form Samuraiman when belittled by foes. Specifically he gets triggered when called an amateur(I believe the term was Ao Nisai, which best translates to the phrase "You're green!").

All "Flip-Heads" (save for Ninjor) have been released, including Ranger Slayer Kimberly!
The included photo was taken at the Walmart in Opelousas, Louisiana. |

Found Ninjor! Got him for about $12.99 at one of the Walmart's in Alexandria, Louisiana. They had more than one.
His movements are limited, you have to manually transform the limb armor, the scabbard pegs into the back hole a little too loosely for comfort, and you CANNOT form the javelin! All that being said, Ninjor is still a good-sized and relatively solid figure for what you pay for. I tried doing some glamour shots with older figures to give some sense of scale. While these new "Flip-Heads" weren't met with universal support when they were initially revealed... https://toy-wizards.com/2020/09/29/h...-be-rekindled/ ...I think Ninjor is the best looking one of the bunch! |

The thing about this one is that it's essentially the DX toy scaled down? And while that wasn't the original intention of the line, it's one I kinda dig a lot more!
|
"DX toy scaled down" is basically why I love the Minipla series. I'd love to know how Ninjor compares to the Minipla robots.
