I feel bad for Julio, he just wanted to see Aguilera smile...
But hey! Hiromi lives for another day! Wahoo! |

Next episode, Aguilera becomes a Deadman. I bet it’s a rattlesnake like Garagaranda!
Jeanne Cobra vs Aguilera Garagarahebi! |
This is very very straightforward episode...
The Action bit meh due the place they fight is very small and super thight The most intresting thing is Vice got headache during Gifu "berserk", and it seems orteca step up to be main Villain and Chameleon apperantly will kill the mom?!( will they do it tho, i mean thats Very bold if they do it and i am all for it) Well there isn't many thing to say but our Villain seemingly destroyed and it seems only orteca and chameleon is the active Villain now... wonder how aqulera and julio role now |
It seems Planarian Deadman and Smilodon Deadman are permanently killed after ritual. Probably Olteca and Chameleon Deadman will be permanently killed if they are defeated by Kamen Riders.
|
My my, it seems Olteca has also been lied to !
If Planarian and Smilodon are perma dead, it was likely due to the ritual, potentially the survivors will die regardless over time now as well. I belive it was Olteca who took the Giff stamp during the scuffle, judging by the intro it might end up with Ikki, possibly. And yeah Giff is very likely not dead, potentially crawling around in the ground for now at least. edit: Considering how bold they tend to get with the xmas episodes, oh boy will the next episodes be interesting. |
Welp, nothing bad happened in this episode ( you all know why I say this)
But....Killing the mother? Oh please no >.> |
Hello everyone, Im Mikey and this is my very first post here. I have been watching Kamen Rider for quite some time but this is the first time I have heard of this website and Im so happy to have a place to share my thoughts. One of my pet peeves watching KR is taking notes of the multiple forms and monsters that appear in each episode (kinda like a small encyclopedia)
My all-time favorite series: Ryuki (my first ever show), Ex-Aid (the most fleshed out cast imo), Fourze (constellation is a win for me) and Saber (books and multiple riders with cool designs and beautiful choreography) My least favorite series: Kamen Rider Gaim (its quite boring I never finished it), Kamen Rider Wizard (Never dropped a series so fast, amazing concept for sentai but poor execution for KR) and Kamen Rider Ghost (After Ghost died for the 3rd time and got brought back immediately through power of friendship in the same ep, I know its my cue to drop) My favorite riders are: Ex-Aid (Emu is absolutely spot-on for me as a protagonist and he actually dares to fake kill to get through a villain after being so damn naive for the first half), Decade (I have a thing for main KR going berserk for the whole series) and Kenzan (Ren is just so absurdly chaotic that his character arc and development turn him into my favorite. Ren vs Desast and Ren vs The Sage are two most memorable fights of all time. The actor is so eager to learn action during the filming too. He needs his own show after the plot did him so dirty) Sorry for talking so much about my things cuz Im just so excited to finally share my thoughts with human beings instead of my reflection haha Back to this episode, the beginning is so cute with the siblings. Kagerou is growing on me now that he just so casually comes out and gets back in Daiji like that. I think he likes Sakura and is scared of her at the same time lmao. Barrid Rex is such an OP upgrade form tho?? He utilized all of the stamps, the remixes while Vice just being a shield, a cute one that is. Christmas episode is coming next week and if anything happens to Hiromi, Im suing Toei. Hiromi and Death Flags have been best match for so long please let it be a red herring. The best boy cant die again while I still cant recover from Kiriya, which is like 5 years ago. Talking about death flag, Aguilera and Julio have also been growing on me since last episode that hopefully they can survive until the end or as long as the third quarter. Julio was supposed to have a heel-face turn I think and both him and Aguilera have a connection with Sakura as well I really want to see them three form their clique and get stronger together. Also Lovekov scares the living hell out of Aguilera is so ridiculously hilarious. Arent they supposed to have the same snake theme? Now what are we going from here? The pacing has been great compared to previous series but they also nearly end the whole Gift. The first arc is done right? And Chameleon is gonna go crazy next week. If he ends up disguising as Yukimi and wrecks the Igarashi family from the inside, Im gonna scream. That shot of Ikki screaming with the bathhouse destroyed around him in the rain in the opening is so heartbreaking please dont let it come true. And with the inner demon, family and follow your dream theme, Ikki is pretty much destined to walk a dark path I think. Vice literally wants to end his mother ep 1 and he also has to abandon his dream for others. Also the mysterious family with no interior decorations is suspicious as hell. Arc 2 cant come soon enough |

Not to mention, Junya Komatsu, the actor of Hiromi, is still filming for Revice, even saying that he's been having more scenes filmed with Ikki, so he's past the episode 16 mark already. |
They also absolutely do not want to repeat the fallout of Kiriya's death from the public, haha
|
Man...I don't know if any of you felt like I did after watching this episode, but wow...this one felt like a mid-to-late season arc finish to me.

Zero-One's first arc with MBJR.net being dismantled and Saber had Calibur defeated. |
I was hoping this series to be the Ryuki of the Reiwa era. The series that turn the whole concept of "Kamen Rider" on its head forever. Zero-One is quite good, I follow the series from start to finish despite the whole instagram spoilers. Saber doesn't really clicked with me, and now Revice doesn't really either despite loving the main character and adoring Vice's KR rex genome form. I am simply taking my enjoyment of the series from discussions like this and instagram spoilers, and forming the rest of the stories in my head.
Maybe I am just getting old, maybe I am already overloaded with rehashed stories and able to string stories together in my head and enjoy that more. What do older fans on this forum think of the reiwa series so far btw? The one who lives through Black to RX to Kuuga to Ryuki to Den-O all the way to Decade, Double, Ex-Aid, Build, and Zero-One? |
By the way, next week isn't a Christmas episode. The next episode airs on the 26th in Japan. This was the Christmas episode... well, for like a minute at the start anyways.

So the villain faction finally had a fallout, and while I did expect that, the fallout between them is actually nastier than I thought. Olteca turning out to be the really one in charge of the Deadmans, with Aguilera as figurehead. Her more of being bratty teen is not really hiding capability as much as it seems for now. But I don't like something about her treatment that what's with her being easily KOed now, twice in the same episode? I thought she's established as strong even in "human" Deadman form and can gain upper hand easily on Sakura likely due to being superhuman as Giftex. As everyone speculated, Julio is hellbent on saving Aguilera, he'd defy his other comrades, though halfheartedly complies when, as I expected, as a total simp Aguilera would offer herself to Giff if it's what brings him, or even be more content of being just one with him. Technically Ikki and Vice saving her would be going against her wishes that she'd only want to sacrifice herself if it what brings Giff, so her lashing out at them (other than how she cares little for anyone other than Giff, and those she likes such as Sakura is meant as sacrifice for Giff) is in-tune with that. So despite turning into Giftex Amahiko and Kudo didn't last long, they're killed for good here as sacrifice for Giff. Aguilera and Julio do suffer here, but I wouldn't encourage sympathy for a chaos spreader that cares little about others or a liar and manipulator for his own benefit yet. Villains can target other villains like this one, and if they suffer for that, it can feel like karma at first.
Regardless of what happens to Aguilera, the situation's really bad for the heroes either way with the awakening for Giff, Ikki and Sakura are forced to take drastic measures by releasing Kagerou to get to know Deadman's hideout. So I guess it's not Ikki's treatment to Daiji that pushed him, Kagerou manifests when Daiji gets beaten in a fight. So the drawback of being Live is that Daiji must not get beaten up too hard, not only that you lose one of the fighters in your team but also creating a new threat in the place. Like Ikki, Sakura didn't fully learned her lesson yet, which I guess is natural, where Ikki convinced her to loose up by bathing (a step to world peace), and as a Rider, she lives (not that one) for more and more fighting - not exactly a good trait. but Yukimi's just overprotective to her in an even worse manner than Ikki (at least him onscreen)... smh, and like, only to Sakura, not the male childs (patronizing to a gender). I guess despite acting as the advisor before, Yukimi needs some lesson herself (Genta's turn... before pointing out about more courage to trust). Still wondering what sparks sympathy from Sakura to Aguilera here to point out about saving her, where previously she hates and specifically targets her for good reason, though I'd like to see how she reacts to Julio "Tamaki" then after this. I guess if Sakura gets disgusted by Ikki saving her... Ikki should let Sakura save Aguilera instead, wanna see what'd Aguilera react. Not only George letting the Chameleon Deadman being taken away the Gifu ViStamp isn't a losing move, it actually leads to the protagonist's victory as he planted an invisible chip. Sasuga George, the genius scientist out-gambitting the Chameleon Deadman, the Deadman's action only served to track down the Deadman's hideout, so nothing loses here, it only gains Fenix full upper hand. George was acting lecherous and outright inappropriate on how he deals with Aguilera (+Giff), but Aguilera's just someone that kind of deserved that. Hiromi (and Daiji) saying "Gracias Deadmans" to enter the Deadman base reminds me of something Marvel, but no, not Spider-Man, instead about Cap saying "Hail HYDRA" (MCU one as the comic book is controversial for that iirc). When someone so righteous and noble, are forced to outwardly support their enemy to advance. The fight in this episode pitting everyone against their respective rivals... Ikki against Kudo who had vendetta on him being lectured and humiliated by an "egoist", Sakura against Amahiko who is the one behind her traumatic experience (involving Seiko) before becoming Jeanne, Daiji against Olteca who was the one that interacted and fascinated with Kagerou the most, and Hiromi against Chameleon Deadman who betrayed him taking Wakabayashi's form. There's a nice Vice moment (and Ikki's solution, probably a proof that Ikki fully accepts Vice now) of exposing Chameleon, of Vice being his usual coarse self claiming the family as tasty. I guess that shows that at least being upfront is better than being two-faced. Ironic for Jeanne that her barrier while henshin didn't appear when the siblings henshin in a very vulnerable position (kinda wasted), and she got a powerup that... didn't involve the use of martial arts as all in a turret weapon Turtle. I guess I "agree" with Hiromi should try taking care of his body more (of course Chameleon wants an easy target that time), as not giving doesn't necessarily mean keep going when you can't, but that would keep trying again in better times even if you stop knowing you can't go on anymore. I'd also like if Scorpion Genome also can poison other than swiping with tail. The fight against the spaceship Deadman base here is hype (aside of KR's typical CGI) with Barid Rex's perhaps ultimate ability to summon every Remixes, albeit the finisher is basic. Really makes Barid Rex seemingly outclass everything seen. |

Who knows, it could do a Saber and have some good character building. https://theglorioblog.files.wordpres..._09.52.128.jpg |
I think this episode is when things really fell into place for me. I thought the payoff was satisfying and was a nice end to the first arc. I actually liked the fight too! I'm also really enjoying all the characters now too. The sibling trio all have their own intriguing aspects, and I was amused by the scene where they Rider Kicked Daiji to bring out Kagerou. All of them seem like they will go interesting places in future episodes too! Hiromi seems like he will get more plot relevance soon, which I can't wait to see. Aguilera and Julio also both interest me, and I could see them being played as anti-heroes or tragic villains to great effect going forward
Good stuff! I'm feeling hopeful for the next arc! |
