KR should go anime form more
Since Fuuto PI, we could sure use more Heisei riders to go anime (even manga) form.
What are all your ideas for sequels with the past KRs? |
I think Wizard in anime style would look great. Plus, it's an opportunity for a crossover with the Pretty Cure, which...well, with the transition of the riders to animation, it's going to get a lot easier.

However, from a story point of story, anime needs Hibiki. Maybe not even a direct sequel, but something like the anime spin-offs of Garo, where the action takes place in a different time / universe, with other characters endowed with the same powers.
By the way, I thought: the crossover between Hibiki and Saber can literally be cranked out without involving anyone from the cast. Both shows feature ancient organizations fighting a particular kind of monster, and the musical Oni could cross paths with the Knights of Sword of Logos at literally any point in history. Although, it will still be nice to see familiar actors. |
None of them, i want classics please.

Then only in Showa anime style or at least stylized. In the style of Ishinomori's manga, it would be chic. |
An anime set during the Showa era would be cool. Spirits adaptation or completely original would be quite nice to see.
Would give a chance for some of those bulkier suits to get more dynamic action. There's a lot of stuff they could possibly do, like write a fleshed out story for the Shocker Riders, or have Amazon get more time in the limelight. For stuff on the list, Hibiki is a strong contender. There were so many Oni that had one or two appearances that a series that follows other members of the Takeshi organization would be cool. Either that or have the original ending and let Asumu become an Oni. Another choice would be Ghost. A deceased main rider, a world of spirits, and no more budget restrictions, Ghost had the most potential that the yearly KR budget just can't do it justice. However, considering Ghost's biggest downfall wasn't it visual department, but it's godawful writing, they would have to change things up to a crazy degree for it to be watchable. Maybe use the early Agito draft of it being a continuation of Kuuga, and have an alternative depiction of the modern day double Riders, as well as have animated depictions of the G1 and G2 systems. Speaking of alternate depictions of the double Riders, ZO and J were designed to look so similar to emulate how Ichigou and Nigou looked so similar. Maybe figure out a way to tie their stories together? |

And I'm not surprised about it's focus on ZX, considering of the original 10 Riders, he only got a single special that was a focus on all 10 appearing, rather than being about him. |
The only issue I see with a Spirits adaptation is that it's probably the hardest one that could ever happen on a behind the scenes level. Purely because I recall reading somewhere and it being brought up among everyone wanting one, that the creator specifically wanted no anime adaptation and that's probably why the first one we've gotten was Fuuto PI.
So unless something likely changes, it's wishful thinking at this point. |
By the way, we seem to be forgetting the biggest problem: W had a great manga sequel from the writer of the original show. As far as I know, other riders were less fortunate. That is, if you do not write the script from scratch, in the case of Agito it will be the story of Another Agito, and for Saber it will be a prequel about Buster.

Granted, I don't see them souring a relationship like that, but big companies sometimes do that :lol Quote:
To bring up Spirits into the mix, as someone with minimal knowledge of any Showa series, Spirits was an original story that was easy to jump into. It kept events from multiple series, but ultimately, it wasn't some kind of canon sequel that relied on past knowledge. That same concept could be done with any of the riders. An original story that follows a few story beats of the original series, but deviates into it's own story. For example, Kamen Rider Kuuga has a well known manga that follows an alternate telling of Kuuga, including incorporating how Agito is connected to Kuuga. |
I'll happily take any adaptations of any of the manga.
For non-manga adaptations, I'd honestly rather have an original Kamen Rider anime than a sequel. Quote:

Spirits and Kuuga are likely contenders.
For me personally, I'd like a new original Rider Anime season. One that could run parallel to the main merchandise season. But that's all going to depend on Toei and how Fuuto Pi fares for the most part. |
