I'm not looking forward to this. Only Ryuki content besides the show that's been any good was the Another Ryuga arc of Zi-O. Nothing else has felt like it came even close to capturing the feeling of Kobayashi's writing

I'm honestly glad to see Ryuki becoming another prominent returning early Heisei rider. Especially here since he was the first "Battle Royale" rider.

I'd honestly love if an Ex-Aid character got involved too just so they could also represent Geats' game aspect.

I'm curious how they'll fit him in, but it's fitting to fit in the Rider most associated with the Battle Royale genre would appear here.
Oh, I'm sure Takahashi probably has some ideas for roping in some Ex-Aid characters...maybe even Zero-One too. Might just depend on timing and what form it takes.

Will there be only a costume or will the actor also return? But speaking of the Geats, they should have used Asakura in the DGP. He would have started killing other riders and would have been disqualified with a huge negative score. In general, it seems to me that Revice will be the third wheel in this movie.

Just add one of the Geats characters to the TTFC special in next year. Sure, The Outsiders looks like something that ends the Presidents story, but for this franchise, every finale is a new beginning.

It's also neat in that it aligns with the 20th Anniversary of Ryuki.

I expect we'll get to actually see Shinji since it seems like Ryuki is being billed as the third protagonist after Geats and Revice.

Quite the opposite, actually -- they've confirmed they're using the old Movie War format, kind of. The first half is an epilogue to Revice, while the second half is the crossover

So it will be like The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle Wizard and Gaim? Then Ruyuki makes perfect sense. But, to be honest, I would rather something like Megamax or Ultimatum, since we are returning to this format.

Man, this feels like a blast from the past.

I am one of the people who love the Movie War format.

Heisei vs Showa is my go-to movie to watch for long plane flights.

So it seems like the Ryuki Riders are just in-suit appearances, but they might at least get the actors/voices back.

They can, of course, but who will notice? Unless then Toei will release behind the scene with voice acting.

If actors were coming back, you can bet that aspect would be heavily promoted.

Tokusatsu is full of tricks and one of them has always been the pseudo-cameo.

The more info we get about this movie the more I question why the Ryuki riders are even in it. They seem to not have got any actors back and seem to be entirely superfluous to the story

That scene of Ryuki fighting Ryuga, it looks like his mouth move, so it seems like maybe he at least says something.

I'm happy to see. The rumors that the Ryuki riders weren't actually returning had me worried.

Would love to see Kitaoka too, but realistically even coming from a timeline where the Rider War never happened, he'd still probably be dead of his mysterious disease a long time ago

Now the real question is: will the Ryuki costume still be in tatters or will they finally remake that poor old thing? :lol

Oh, Ryuki and their actors are back, I like it a lot.
I'm skipping Geats because...I watched 2 episodes and didn't have any feeling towards it. So I guess it's not for me.

Can't wait to watch this though.

Sounds like they mean the three episode rule. Which even then isn't a reliable thing to follow anymore with how story pacing can differ from series to series.

I think the rule depends on each person's tolerance. Personally, I always go by the 2 episode rule. I gave ToQGer 9 episodes and that was much too generous, so from that point forward I generally trust my gut feeling to prevent unnecessary disappointment and frustration.

I'd say yeah the earlier game rounds there aren't as interesting.
