I hoped that we’d eventually get the Thunderzords in Minipla! Glad it’s finally happening (and for the 30th anniversary of Dairanger/Squadron)

Now to find a shop that is actually still selling these ...

I’m curious on how the arm articulation was handled and how the box seperation will be handled

I've been waiting for this for ages.

I think it's a safe assumption we'll get Won Tiger as well, but I'm really hoping we get Daimugen and Daijinryuu as well (not sure how they'll work, but I still want it)

Really excited to see RyuseiOh. It's one of my favorite mech designs. If I can, I'd love to somehow just get it by itself.

Oh my GOD I've wanted this for SO long. First GoGoFive, then Gaoranger, and now this? The people choosing which sets to make are catering to me specifically and I love it.

It looks like in the image that the hands on the red dragon can fold inside the forearm, either revealing a port or post where the wrist would be, that then slots into the black lion forearm just above an elbow joint. which is pretty cool because connecting it like this also allows for bicep rotation on top of the elbow joint. I'm trying to figure out how the lion paw pauldrons connect to the arm now and, assuming they don't detach and reconnect directly to the red dragon, it seems like they're connected to the piece that combines with the red dragon just above the elbow joint. but i guess we have to wait and see for confirmation. i was really interested to see how they would handle the elbow joint, too, given how the original toy functioned

I hope it includes an alternate set of glowing eyes! Always preferred it to the blank visor.

Victory Robo, linerboy and the Armadillo from Gaostriker/icarus included alternate stickers with glowing eyes so that seems likely

I kind of wish we got a Disney Era season instead.

We literally just finished Gaoranger, whose PR counterpart was a Disney era season.

Wild Force began as a Saban season. Disney took over late into production. So likely they meant Ninja Storm and onward.

To me, Wild Force feels like a very Disney show.

I'd rather they finish the OG power ranger seasons they still need to do (Zeo and Turbo, for starters. We also still need Time Force and Galaxy.) before moving on to the Disney era. however If they took a detour to do Ninja Storm including the full set all the little ball weapons i'd also be extremely happy

But yeah, hopefully this guy looks cool! The Thunder Dairen-Oh isn't one of my favourites, so I'll probably skip out on him, but Dairanger is a popular show, and this'll probably lead to the Won Tigerzord for completionists. Wonder if we'll get the Turtle.

They tend to do the 6th ranger mechs at the very least, so Won Tiger is more likely than not.
DaiMugen though, is where things get iffy. I dunno if we'll be seeing him.

And then we have people asking for Daijinryu. I wouldn't hold my breath for him :lol

At that point, for scale, your best bet is just dressing up in a Daijinryu cosplay and stepping on your toys yourself.

They tend to do everything, especially for such a small series as this. Won Tiger should be retail, and then the turtle and the giant dragon will be Preban. Zero doubt in my mind all of them are happening

I'd guess, like anything, it depends on sales. DaiMugen is probably certain just because it combines and interacts with the other two, but I can see Daijinryu quietly being shuffled into Bandai Puragtory (TM) with the other two Megaranger megazords if the pre-orders don't hit satisfactory levels.

I've been hoping for this since the line was announced. Let me have it! :lol

I'm fully expecting only Dairen'oh and Won Tiger, maybe DaiMugen P-Bandai if we're lucky, but considering we never got Tetraboy or the rest of the Megaranger stuff, I'm not expecting it.

But Daijinryuu would be really cool. If Bandai can make a HG Neon Zeong kit in a box bigger than a small child, they can give us Daijinryuu :lol (I know they're different lines, please don't take that sentence seriously)

The thing is that when it comes to stuff they didn't cover, it was either VERY early in SMP's life where it wasn't quite as popular and they couldn't reliably say everything would sell; or it was a series with a huge amount of stuff to cover anyway (Victory Mars). And even then they have now started a project specifically to cover everything they missed!

Their mission statement now very much seems to be doing everything, and with Dairanger being a popular request on polls I don't think they see any of its small roster of robos as a particular risk. And a Daijinryuu is the sort of huge impressive thing SMP likes to do! It almost certainly won't be in scale (I think it would literally have to be as tall as an average adult??) but I'm fairly certain they'll do him

Did a quick search. Dairen'oh seems to be 54 meters, while Daijinryuu is 345. Daizyujin SMP is 6 inches in height, so assuming Dairen'oh is the same height, a scale Daijinryuu would be roughly 38.3 inches tall, so slightly taller than the HG Neo Zeong Gunpla kit:

So yeah...that wouldn't work out too well at full size. I'd be happy with a scaled-down version, but how much smaller would it become?

Either that OR, make him size equivalent to a Titan Class Transformer like Fortress Maximus. Problem solved, since 2 feet tall could potentially work.

Yeah, that's what I'm imagining/would like. Maybe slightly taller, since Daijinryuu isn't as chonky.

Looks like that's about the approach they used for the DX releases as well.

SMP isn't exactly to scale model to model. But within the same series, it looks like they try to keep compatibility.

I could see an extra large kit being made.

With Dairanger confirmed now does this complete the list of the Sentai series constantly ranked at the top of the SMP polls throughout the years?

Wasn't Hurricanger ranked high too and could possibly be next if they don't jump back to doing a Showa series?

Although I want Carranger to get attention and I hope they do consider revisiting GoGo V to give us Victory Mars and yeah Megaranger as well lol

I’m pretty sure it does. I don’t remember Hurricaneger being on there but that series is always a big hit, plus there’s a movie out this year so… maybe.

If nothing else i can see them doing SHODO sets for Hurricaneger and Abaranger’s movies, like they did for Gokaiger

It's a legit surprise Hurricanger hasn't been tackled yet. There's a reason why it's gotten both a 10 and 20 year anniversary special.

I'm thinking it might be the Karakuri Balls. They're big and you have to design enough space in both main mechs to incorporate them (Tenkuujin is lucky in that he can just summon them).

Definitely a difficult one, especially at retail. There’s only four mechs to cover, so maybe they’d do preban sets of Karakuri Balls? Either way it’s a lot less simple than doing say Abaranger or Dekaranger

Looks so good. About what I expected them to do to handle giving it articulation, but I don't mind too much.
Part of me was afraid the glowing eyes would be a sticker and you would have to choose between having them or not, so to have a 2nd face plate with the glowing eyes is nice.

Also, didn't know the original DaiRenOh was the largest main mech until Don Onitaijin. Neat.

I knew they would go quick but not that quick. Is BBTS or anyone else receiving preorders before release? Or am I out of luck?

Sold out where? It's still available at Tokullectibles.

BBTS will likely carry it. It being from an MMPR series gives it a much higher chance that other domestic places carry it. Heck, even TFsource starting selling MiniPla.

They better not skip Won Tiger.
