Best Reiwa KR choices to adapt in the US/Canada?

Onto Reiwa!

So far we only got Zero-One (01), Saber, Revice, Geats & Gotchard.

The only best choice I see is Geats. And Gotchard is still ongoing.

(I'll be putting up a poll later on until, more Reiwa riders are revealed to us.)

Not everyone or anything Kamen Rider needs an ADAPTATION, these are so lame.
Every month or so, the same thing:”what * insert toku show* should be adapted?”

None of them. They are fine AS IS.
Sorry, adapting everything to some western specific standard ruins the unique experience of Tokusatsu genre.

Agree. Power Rangers is more of a happy accident, and then only possible in its time, before the anime boom, which made Japanese culture closer to Western viewers.

I feel complete sadness & disappointment from those who disagree with this since the Power Rangers came to fruition.

I thought KR would have potential in a adaptation than being just dubbed.

Reiwa would be the best choices.

Geats would go for something like Zoids: New Century Zero in the Desire Grand Prix/Jyamato Grand Prix/Desire Royale.

Power Rangers is also barely getting by these days. It's not clear there's a market for one adapted tokusatsu anymore, much less a second.

Really just do an English dub like Tsubaraya is doing with Ultras

Yeah, gotta agree with the rest, I think Kamen Rider getting a decent English dub like Blazar would be a lot more likely to succeed than trying to force what seems to be a pretty clearly outdated approach of a PR style adaptation. Japanese media is huge in the US right now. Godzilla Minus One was one of the best reviewed movies of the year. Dragon Ball Figuarts and Demon Hunter DX Bandai toys are on the shelf at Target. Meanwhile Power Rangers 30th anniversary season is just 10 episodes and streaming exclusive.

Look, I’m not trying to be an ambusher, or rude but you are relatively young, and probably remember Power Rangers very FONDLY- I was an adult with two kids when it came out, and it was, to me, a complete slap in the face of Super Sentai, already a “kids show” but WITH HEART, and the Mighty Morphing PR writing(?) and acting was across the board corny, lazy, & nauseating at the same time, I saw it as a gag series that made to please the lowest common denominators in fandom/or for little kids.
A far cry from watching Jetman or even the source material.
Power Rangers is a dumbed-down version of Sentai, and in my mind, nobody wants that, but occasionally I am wrong…

This. No one wants some lame Power Rangers-esque adaptations.
It would literally KILL whatever the fans think is Cool about Riders with a westernized watered down version.

The Power Rangers VS. Super Sentai debate is older than Zordon or Ninjor!

Both have their place.

True, many of the reasons for PRs existence have faded or softened with time, but it has fans and those who still believe. I count myself as one of them, though I do admit to looking at things with a more critical eye than I used to and see things that I wish had been handled differently back in the day.

A future KR adaptation can be done if you ignore things like Ferbus.

Pretend that "A Friend In Need" is canon, while the MR series itself is not (which is pretty easy when you realize that there are differences between them).

Besides, how many years of PR adaptations have we had despite the Western fandoms knowledge of Sentai? Some probably thought that there would be "watering-down" issues then, too.

If I recall correctly, people who hate PR on this site reviewed the opening episode of Dino Charge favorably when it originally debuted!

Oh, and Toei and Tsuburaya are two different companies in competition with each other. Would Toei actually be willing to port Sentai and Rider over to the West like Tsuburaya is doing with Ultraman?

As far as I understand, Toei may want to follow Tsuburaya's path, but they are not alone in making the decision. Ishinomori Productions also has its share. In addition, TV Asahi values ​​​​its exclusive rights to show the show, and TTFC wants to produce original content that is not legally available anywhere else. Therefore, it is simply impossible for the rider to get to the west in ongoing mode. Maybe if the situation with copyright holders changes or there is confidence in absolute success, then something like this will happen. Also, while this is a crazy idea, I'd really like to see what happens if Toei gets the rights to Power Rangers.

Then you admit you were never PR's target demographic anyway. So what kids want, "in your mind", doesn't matter, since they have their own minds and opinions. I never said I was or wasn?t the demographic, I haven?t been their demographic since the 70?s(but obviously that?s never stopped we/us adults from enjoying it,WHEN it?s worthy) I am just pointing out the obvious: lazy dumbed down writing and acting worse than ?Saved By The Bell? isn?t needed to push KR or Toku in general, and adapting it takes away from the essence of the original.
Why not just come up with something different but still Tokusatsu?
Create new instead of adapting old or recently seen.

A lazy adaptation with overly-simplistic writing like Samurai-Super Megaforce does nothing helpful for PR and the fandom knew it. If Mighty Morphin' didn't do it for you, then it just did nothing for you, but that's it.

Mighty Morphin' and PR in general did introduce some people to tokusatsu. Saying otherwise distorts reality. Some found it through other means like Godzilla or old attempts by Tsuburaya to push Ultraman in the West.

Damning the actors is a fool's errand and some of those who went down that road were called out for it. They were given a job and, unfortunately, weren't always given good scripts or good directions.

"Old or recently seen" applies only to those with foreknowledge of Sentai, and small kids in the West don't always possess such foreknowledge.

For Gotchard (while still ongoing), there seems to be like Pokemon vibes in there. So should a "Chemyrap" be put in after every episode?
