I really hope it gets an English release.

I intrigued by this game and the Yuuya Takahashi writer credit, but aesthetically this feels so bizarre to me. Not really how I'd imagine an original 2D drawn take on Kamen Rider to look.

Still, I'd play it if it came out in English (not happening, I know).

as a gacha player and Kamen Rider fan I can only be intrigued.

I played Battle Rush briefly before it stopped but I couldn't understand half of what I was doing. Maybe this one will be more clear.

I wonder how they plan to make it a hit though. It's easy for a mobile game to fail.

Not making full armored character is probably intentional to make it an "ikemen" game kinda. But is it really targeting a women demographic then ? I don't see it working that way.

Seems the premise will initially center around 5 different factions with chars based on/inspired by past Riders, from left to right we have:

• Zi-O - The antenna are symmetrical but the shape matches
• Den-O - The pose is a dead giveaway
• Ichigou - We saw his design already
• W(?) - The antenna kinda match, and in the trailer they're green and purple
• The last one - I can't really tell, his antenna are a lot smaller/not there, and I can't gleam much from his pose in the trailer either, all it shows is him waving his right arm and a burst of something is happening

and this is just that but aimed at an older/young-adult woman audience.

I'm sure it'll be Japan only, but I'm still interested to see where this goes and how they bring the Rider elements into the designs and personalities.

The logos on the back could be a clue maybe? The purple backdrop has Tower something, the Ichigo-inspired rider on the center seems to be Justice something and the very right one has Wisdom something.

I like to think it is Faiz somehow. Even if by the look only I don't see it.

Because if you're correct, Justice Ride could be showa, Madguy late heisei 1, Slam Days early Heisei 2, Tower Emblem late heisei 2. It would leave early Heisei 1.

Seeing that image the last thing I would've suspected this character to be is a Kamen Rider. It looks like your regular, basic VTuber with their official and casual outfits.

I get making something different for a change, but what's the point of it being an official spin-off to something if it isn't recognizable at all.

The minute we got the first visual of the Ichigo-like Rider I knew what this game was.

This is a game created for an entirely specific and separate fanbase from Tokubros, it's clearly an otome game made for the hardcore Fujoshis, so yeah, not too surprising tbh.

Okay, so... I'm intrigued. While I would definitely prefer an actual Kamen Rider Game, I don't mind them trying something a little different. They kind of remind me of what a male version of Symphogear, which I don't entirely mind.

As for the whole "Ikkemen" look they have going, let's not forget, Kamen Rider (and Tokusatsu aas a whole) has always had "Ikkemen" in the leading roles, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch for the designs.

As for predictions: Obviously, Ichigo (quite like this design honestly). We've already been revealed Momotarou/Den-O, the hair was practically obvious. W, the fact the character in question is named "Q" and has dual-colored eyes (purple and green) that matches W's colors, that's also a given. Zi-O, then again, there's a good chance they might subvert us and make that Woz, loving the regal look. Last one, judging by the group name "Wisdom Thinks" I'm guessing maybe Drive? However, the colors and outline make me think Decade.

If you pause in the trailer, you'll notice a couple other silhouettes. I recognized Gaim, Hibiki, and Decade, possibly OOO.

As I said, while not what I was expecting or would prefer, I am intrigued, nonetheless. Whether it's any good or not, I'll have to wait and see.

Honestly if they release it in English, I'd play it, too.

And to me it's not really all that far-fetched of an idea, to have anime characters dressed up in clothes/armor inspired by Kamen Rider. Fans already did that with Rider-tans, so this is just that like, except with hot men instead.

I like him. Name scheming reminds me of Hibiki, though this guy's clearly Momotaros' themed.... maybe it's gonna be a little more like "each of these characters reference multiple Riders instead of just one" sort of deal? I can dig that if that's the case.

'Cuz this isn't directly meant for pure Toku-fans, this is meant for an audience more like the Twisted Wonderland game, where all the characters are inspired by like, Disney villains. And they're all hot anime men.

Also, I feel like you meae nt the VTuber thing as a negative, but as a VTuber fan, I think it's a positive. I like them, they're a fun take. Sure, would've loved to see full helmet versions (and they could go that route if they choose to where different evolutions have different art), but it's not a deal breaker.

Especially since I don't play app games if they don't have a global/English version, 'cuz I don't like jumping through hoops to try playing games I don't understand.

To be fair I've seen an overlap of fans who play Twisted Wonderland (same sort of premise as Ride Kamens, in that again, they're hot anime men versions of existing characters) and toku fans on Tumblr, so it's not like there's none.

Also, considering that the reason why attractive men are hired to play Kamen Riders is because of mothers watching over their kids, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Ride Kamens is done similarly, in that it's targeted to older sisters who're also watching over their siblings.

That too, especially since the Symphogear app game had that Faiz crossover.

Honestly I'm starting to also think that they could be references to multiple Riders, too, since Araki's name is more like a Hibiki Rider name than one you'd think would be used for a Momotaros-inspired character. Just got to wait and see more reveals.

Having thought this thing over some more I think this is definitely an attempt to bring in more female fans, though whether they succeed is really going to be up in the air until we see the actual quality of the game and writing. It could be great or awful at this point. Furthermore... if it's a good game in it's own right but isn't able to successfully show the appeal of mainline Rider, it isn't really going to be a success because it can't bring in new blood. The other issue of course is whether this is what most women actually want. I'm a female tokusatsu fans myself (though not Japanese) and personally speaking the sterility of these pretty boys just doesn't do it for me. I think a more realistic artstyle would be better and also make it easier for any new fans to get on-board with the tokusatsu shows. I'm not feeling too hopeful about this game though, the mobile game market is on a decline right now and this thing feels like it has too much of an identity crisis to last long.

Pretty much this. I do believe they're "original" Riders but they're based on existing Riders as a draw.

I've watched the story stuff for Twisted Wonderland, and it's quite fun, not really that "Otome" which is mostly it's artstyle. The fact that we have (whether you like him or not) a Kamen Writer in charge of it who helmed some popular series (Ex-Aid, Zero-One, Geats) could be good.

Again, I'd prefer something like Hybrid Insecter, but I understand the idea going in this direction and don't mind it at all.

If anything, I'd probably get figures of some of these guys.

Yeah I agree with the Jin guess.

Yeah, between the feathery shapes, the pink, and the silver great on his left pec, that's definitely meant to be Jin. Quite an off-the-cuff choice, but honestly it might be my second-favourite of these next to Ichigo.

The name matches the MBJR naming scheme as well.

So, seeing how it won't be all protagonist riders, I wonder if the Kuuga and G3 counterparts will be twins, stepbrothers, etc. if we ever get both of them. Heck, G3 being a clone of Kuuga would work too.
