Has any of you watched a Metal Heroes show?
Outside of a couple of episodes of Gavan I have not, but I'm gonna watch Jiraiya.

Metalder is pretty great.

Good luck. Jiraiya is an unusual but cool show with a super-catchy theme. In general, Metal Heroes is definitely worth watching. Another thing is that the first few shows are somewhat monotonous. It is also worth remembering that they were announced as a franchise after the fact, so in essence these are just different tokussu shows that occupied the air before the return of KR.

I've seen a few of them. Watched Janperson earlier this year and really loved it!

I actually started Jiraiya sometime ago, funnily enough, and the show is already off to a pretty good start so far. Oh, and Metalder plus Janperson are great shows that are definitely worth checking out.

I've watched a few episodes of the Space Sheriff shows but I've seen most of Metalder. Metalder is really good.

I've seen 6 installments and am currently near the end of my 7th, Solbrain, which I'm enjoying. Good choice on Jiraiya, this is an awesome take on the ninja genre with a unique premise. Mostly comedic, but has some dramatic moments as well. Other than that, I agree with the recommendations for Janperson and will add my own for Jiban, my personal favorite so far.

I'm trying, but none of them really capture me. I started Juuko B-Fighter, but it's just not clicking.

I finished a Spielvan rewatch recently (though not a complete one cause I started a few months back and recently went back in with Ep. 25), and it got needlessly repetitive in spots. There's little you can get from seeing Gran Nazca after seeing both Combat and Cannon Formations cause they recycle the same shots over, and over, and over! Also, the ending doesn't make a lot of sense unless you mentally work in a couple of retcons.
I will admit that I haven't laughed hard at a tokusatsu in awhile, but Ep. 41 broke that trend with General Deathzero seeing lovers in the park and realizing that it's a film shoot and "concluding" that marriage will make him stronger. He settles on Diana and decides that the best "proposal" is to creepily abduct her and tie her next to a bomb! It was so over-the-top that I couldn't keep from breaking out into hysterics! Miyake regarding Metal Heroes (Credit to www.grnrngr.com). https://www.grnrngr.com/documents/miyake/METAL.TXT |
To me, Winspector is peak Metal Hero.
