This list considers the openings both from a visual standpoint and a musical one. A lot of the Heisei 1.0 OPs don't really hit for me, perhaps because some of them are slower songs. Reiwa so far has a lot of bangers. As for Gotchard's inclusion, I like the original version without Flow more than the new one, but that's not to say it's something I dislike either.

Kind of hard to beat out Back-On's solo act, especially when Flow's voices are so distinct and different.

Too Heisei-Centric and recent bias for me.

Haha, totally fair for the Heisei Centric bias. I'm not an active Showa watcher, and I don't keep up weekly with Reiwa. Is half the last really too recent, though? Gotchard was 2023, but the rest in my top 5 are between 2009-2018.

For me, I tend to gravitate more to pop-ish music, or fast-paced rock. Something that feels more akin to something you'd see as the first opening for a long-running shonen show.
