WOW. That, in my opinion, was pretty much a perfect episode of Kamen Rider. It had nuanced characterization, genuine emotion, phenomenal action, great development, and a satisfying payoff... and none of it was undermined by corny humor.
Dat slap though. Holy shit. They are not holding anything back, are they? Of course, the whole "they're not fully zombies yet, so you won't get any points by killing them, but we don't count them as players so you can still attack them" thing is a little contrived, but what can you do? (^.^') Also, what does disqualification entail? Do they die? Are their memories erased? Most curious. |
me, seeing buffa use the magnum shooter 40x like a fucking club like armed water: b r u h w h y
very nice bit of characterization there, though, very fun |
So, Shirowe bit it in episode 1. Da-Paan in episode 4. When do you think Punkjack is gonna die? Because damn, whoever gets this bear themed helmet is not in for a good time :lol
Anyway, decent episode. I liked the explanation for why Neon's mother is so deadset on making her stay home, but I still feel Neon is a weak character. I just don't feel for her plight. |
Geez, we're on episode 4 already? I still haven't watched 2...

Good episode but not much to say.
Neon backstory about being the protected child/bird trapped in a cage of gold is a bit too cliche. But the moments between her and Ace/Keiwa are nice Speaking of Keiwa, so far we ALWAYS see him being nice to literally everyone. And Neon tells him what will probably be the first step for him to change. Being nice is not always good. Also I noticed in this ep (maybe it's the same thing in Ep1~3) we have A LOT of scenes with shots on Ace not talking and just giving a look to someone else talking (like 7:10 and 12:10) or even a mouth movement at 6:00 that says more about him than any line in the show (but we are not allowed to understand what, as of now). I really hope we know about his backstory soon. |
Four episodes in and we are down 3 riders 2 of which where in the opening but with five riders left plus what seems to be an NPC rider I wounder if any on will come back and I wonder if anything will happen to the main four before this round ends but who ever that masked man at the end seems to what/ expect Geaats vs Buffa for the final of this game like the last one.
For this episode great characterization all around Depan mad for a great scummy antagonist with his deftest attitude and it helps Na-go find her resolve. Tycoon on the other hand is still missing that resolve, he is a good guy but as Na-go said nice words are not enough. Marry showing how much of a S*?$*r he is by putting rando in danger for extra points and Buffa just being ruthless to the other players. And then we got or MC Ace who while won't admit it is still a good guy but unlike Tycoon he dose have a greater resolve/ desire but it is still a mystery as to what. Quote:
