"Acting Under Orders" A Look Into a Power Rangers Contract
|
Wow. Just.... just frakking wow. They aren't Actors so much as Slaves with a Contract. No residuals, forced to work extra without pay, and on and on. Dear Lord Jesus.
You know what? After reading that I'm sorry I came down on the Samurai Actors for not being able to act. I'd give a piss-poor performance to if I was being treated like that. |
After hearing about all the stuff the original MMPR cast had to agree to in the Amy Jo Johnson podcast, its a little sad to hear things have apparently changed so little for cast members.

Yeah, but this is also a Saban contract. We'd have to compare it to a Disney contract as well.
But, this explains why Ciara was so happy and giddy the first few weeks being in New Zealand and now she tweets with: Quote:

It's sad that the actors and production are pushed to such extremes, especially since this has been the norm since the MMPR days. Nothing much has changed, it seems. |
Steven Skyler and Paul Schrier are union. Ciara Hanna and Azim Rizk likely are also.
|
Steve Cardenas is probably a big player in the "maintaining the image" clause.....after the stuff he did on and off set before and after the show....
