Actually Starscream’s “throne” is Megatron’s control chair from the Nemesis he sat in when they pursued the Autobots at the beginning of the first episode of G1, so if you have any version of the WFC Voyager Megatron figure, it’s actually most likely meant to go with him.

Slowly dipping my toes back into Transformers. RID 2001 was my favorite of the series and I never knew there was a 6 inch version of Fire Convoy in existence. Well it's from the Titanium line which was mostly a miss, but with a little paint and tweaks I'm happy with how it turned out. It will go well with my Super Robot Chogokin collection.

Unfortunately, there isn't any good way to look at RID 2001! The way I understand it, when Disney got Saban's stuff back in the day, they got that dub as well and it's been snuffed from the public ever since!

Two options remain: find a YouTube video or find someone who recorded the episodes back in 2001 and who still has the tapes and burn them to DVDs!

Yeah I've looked at all of those. The original Fire Convoy is just too big for my collection. The 6 inch size of the Titanium figure is ideal.

It gets a bit confusing because a lot of content was altered due to premiering just days after 9/11.

Personally, it is the Japanese version that I am most nostalgic for. It's pretty different from the US version. I've always like Optimus Prime as a Fire Truck rather than a Semi-Truck.

I remember liking the dragon desgin for Megatron in that show. I'm pretty sure the show has aged badly when watching it again.

It's very very super robot, feels a lot like the Brave/Yuusha series. I've heard people refer to it as an animated Tokusatsu because the robots yell Henshin when they transform and fight with much more hand to hand than guns and lasers.

It's worth a watch if you can find the Japanese version.
