I can buy part of the suit being unusable, but not the entire thing. The mech suits are definitely not all rubber and latex. I can see them taking what was left and just making new rubber and latex...

Call me crazy, but why not put all the old teams that were never adapted into POwer Rangers in the same category as Alien Rangers? They could just say they were rangers from previous eras and worlds...
