1 Ep2: The End of the World- 02/04/05

The Doctor takes Rose to the end of the world in the year 5,000,000/apple/26, where the great and good(rich) gather to watch it on Satellite 5.

Plot
Arriving on Platform 1, we meet a bunch of guests, and the Doctor flirts with a tree-thing. The last human (Cassandra) shows up and then some spider things hatch and blow up the systems. Rose almost gets burnt alive by the sun, and some robot's turn out to be the bad guys. Except for they're not-Cassandra is. Then she gets blown up! Overall, it's a strange 'mystery' plot that works okay-it focuses more on Rose's reaction on travelling, but it goes Ok. Not as good as Rose, but still Ok. 6/10

Characters
This episode expands on both Rose's and Nine's characters-Rose through her planet's destruction and the Doctor through the flirt tree. His survivors guilt plays through, and it's revealed that he's the last of his kind. We also see his ruthless side at the end, showing he's changed from his earlier incarnations. Rose, on the other hand, gets crying and sad. Then goes for chips!(Because that solves everything!!) Cassandra, as a villain, works well-she does it for money, and has a proper motive. She is kind of an ass, but it works. 8/10

Scare Factor
Nothing really scary in this episode. 1/10

Bad Wolf Watch: "This is the Bad Wolf scenario"-Moxx of Balhoon

Overall
A bit of a downside from the first episode, but still good. Better than the next episode anyway. The Doctor showing a dark side also works well though. 6/10
