Back in the 90's while Dairanger was in pre-production, it had been rumored to be a show based on chinese martial arts. It was also rumored at the time that the show would be called Chinaman because of its apparent chinese themes. However thats false. Toei confirmed in laster years Net Movies (Super Hero Taisen) that all Chinaman ever was was a made up rumor by fans. However the pre-production Dairanger costumes did feature those eyes on the helmet.

In Akibaranger Hate Saburo has allowed sentai history to be rewritten so that Dairanger never existed and instead Akiba is official. Because of this Dairanger is relegated to being unofficial and becomes Chinaman by default

The fact that it comes with the alternate head means I will most certainly be buying 2! Heres hoping Kiba Ranger comes with his alternate chest emblem too.
