I find him to be obnoxiously annoying. He over acts and is an idiot. He is way too hyper that it feels like he is trying to portray a ranger from a comedy series more than a serious series (which is what Shinken is). The whole fish motif doesn't help his case either. I also hate the lantern mecha. That thing is even worse than Smokey from MagiRanger.

No Sentai series is flawless. DaiRanger is my favorite series, but even that show has flaws. Kaku has flaws. Aba, Geki, Gokai, Car, Jet, Zyu, GoGoV, and Time are all the best series Sentai has to offer, but every one of them is flawed in some manner.
