Okay, I love Gokaiger and hate Goseiger. However this is Power Rangers, not Super Sentai. The best of Super Sentai can become the worst of Power Rangers and the worst of Super Sentai can become the best of Power Rangers. But that's not all, they can both be good/great in either similar or different ways. It all depends on the choices made while making the shows.

So here's some examples I ask myself when thinking about this...

Which will be easier to adapt?
Goseiger. A lot less fight footage would need to be made.

It's an anniversary year for PR, which is better for that?
Gokaiger. It has the set up needed for tributes and every Ranger is in it.

It's NOT an anniversary year for PR, which one?
Goseiger. Might as well go in order.

Saban plans to copy/paste as much as they can from the Sentai counterpart (Shinkenger/Samurai). Which one?
Neither. It hasn't worked in the past.

Saban plans to take it a completely diffent direction (Go-On/RPM). Which one?
Goseiger. Have fun with it.

Saban plans to make a majorly similar series, but with some major differences (Deka/SPD). Which one?
Gokaiger. In overall idea and pace are solid.

How about that parody video of Power Rangers vs the World using Goseiger?
I don't think Saban has it in them to make something to cool, but I'd totally would watch it if they did!

Which design do I like more?
Gokaiger. Their pirates damnit!

Which would I buy merchandise of?
Gokaiger, though I'd be willing to get a couple of Goseiger if I like the show.

Which would I buy merchandise of even if the show sucks (like Samurai)?
Gokaiger. Especially if they keep the 4" scale. I'll even buy the Megazords, which is rare for me.

Saban/Bandai wants both kids and collectors money. Which should they use?
I can not speak for everyone, but the theme of pirates is a simple theme that tends to sell well. Much like ninjas and dinosaurs. Angels...not as iconic as far as toys go, though it does have the card gimmick kids like. As long as it has the media support, either will probably sell well enough for PR toys.

What if they merge the two into a hybrid? Card gimmick with pirate theme.

I think that gets the point across. Fiction wise, it's what they plan to do with the show. Merchandise wise Gokaiger has the better chance. So yeah, my vote is "depends." :P
