As melodramatic as it sounds JT has to be fired if this brand is to survive. Giving PR back to Disney is a death sentence since they've proven time and time again Power Rangers wasn't their cup of tea. We've hit a dark time for Tokusatsu my friends. It's either Jon gets fired or Power Rangers dies. It's probably not that black and white, but at this point I'm viewing toku with the same glasses of jade Kenji Inafune sees the game inducsidy.
It has gotten to that point with me.
With you. Not with the target demographic. Trust me, Power Rangers will go on without you watching or purchasing any of the merchandise.

It makes sense to agree to something like that for footage sake alone. So while the "money" answer is part of it, Saban was panicing at the end of "Zyu 2" as the footage was running out. That's when he realized that kids do associate with the suits, but associate with colors more, and so changing to a new theme every season would still help kids know the franchise, but continue to keep it fresh.

Just ignore the fact that Samurai was the most popular Power Rangers has been in about decade, right? PR is in the best financial state is has been in a long time. It doesn't matter that we're unhappy, because the people that makes them the most money are very happy. Yes, the quality of Megaforce and Samurai isn't spectacular, but kids are loving it and buying the merchandise and watching the show and that's what makes something successful when it all comes down to it. I understand that it sucks that Power Rangers has really been down in quality lately, but I think its in a better position when it comes to success then it has been in a LONG time.
Absolutely agreed.

We could skip Go-Busters and jump to Kyoryuger, because kids love dinosaurs and that would bring in cash because dinosaurs are cool and the popularity of dinosaurs is why Zyranger was the first Sentai to get adapted instead of Jetman (which was a runner up, from what I've read, but was dropped because dinosaurs).
But then again I'm not an Economics Major, so I probably know diddly-squat about this.
Well, I'm very glad you said it. Obviously, Saban knows what he's doing here.
Kids also love Spies too. There's Spy Toys all over the toy aisle at your local Walmart, Totally Spies was a cartoon that pandered to girls as well as boys, and even back to the days of James Bond Jr. You mix that with animals that turn into cars and it's going to be a win. I won't deny that boys love dinosaurs
more
but it's still Power Rangers, and Saban knows that the kids will identify with that first and pick up with whatever theme goes along with it. And as always: ROBOT TOYS THAT COMBINE WITH OTHER ROBOT TOYS!

Now onto my thoughts on this. I keep saying this, but I feel it's always worth repeating. We've grown up. Our tastes and maturity levels have changed. I absolutely love the Centurions franchise, both now and as a child, but recently I went back to watch all the episodes and wow, it's super cheesy! I couldn't even get through all the episodes. I was bored!
Food for thought here. We've grown up. We can't expect a franchise aimed at kids to join us, and leave the children behind, that would be suicide.
