I saw the Walker Brothers' review of the film. One of their points bothered me.

Throughout the review they kept claiming that Tony was making a lot of stupid, emotionally-fueled decisions and having panic attacks because he feared that he would lose Pepper. However, they're taking Tony's words at surface value, and not paying much heed to the continuity of the films.

The reason that Tony was behaving the way he was in Iron Man 3 was because of post-traumatic stress disorder. Psychology Today claims and justifies that Tony's near-death experience in The Avengers in which he accepted the fact that he would die, only to find that he did live. In the previous Iron Man movies, Tony was close to death, but he always strived to survive. As such, the trauma inflicted by this event rendered him with PTSD. Because of this, he was not able to perform as he normally would, being unable to express emotions he would normally be able to do with ease; suffering from insomnia and attacks; and making stupid decisions.

Lesson learned: KRX does not approve of medical fallacies.
