This was my most heartbreaking realisation.

It is Power Rangers TWENTY but Saban only cares about selling toys, the majority of the people buying the toys are young children who have possibly never even seen a season before Megaforce so they are the specific area of the audience who DON'T care about the PR legacy.

As such Saban knows he can put zero percent into the legacy season and still achieve his personal goals. He doesn't care about his adult fanbase and why should he? As much as MMPR nostalgia on the internet will trick you into thinking the adults put money into this franchise, most of the nostalgia hype around MMPR aren't by fans at all but sad adults trying to look alternative.

Really the truest fans are the kids watching the reruns, buying the toys and playing Megaforce in the playgrounds, they are Saban's bread and butter and they are who Saban will focus on. It hurts but I'm just gonna have to accept it.
