I agree completely. Saban is treating Power Rangers like it's still the early 90's, because MMPR was popular so that means anything made in a similar matter will be popular.

I'm not the biggest fan of most of the Disney seasons but that certainly isn't a complaint I'd hold against them.

Yeah. Sticking too close to the Sentai seems to be the prime complaint (Story wise. Hokey acting is the universal complaint )
It's why RPM was so praised. It took the comedy(?) based Go-Onger and made something all it's own.

Anyway, I never understood the hate for the Disney series considering both Disney and Saban had produced crappy PR seasons.
Much like George Lucas and Star Wars, yes, the first run may have been good, but now, it's better to just give the franchise to Disney so they can do it some justice.
