While the rest of Wizards' cast would fit in Den-O, yes, but what is Haruto doing that every other main Rider bar, Ryotaro, Wataru, and Gentaro, aren't?

I just like my heroes to be more serious and dedicated without a lot of the really broad character traits that define most of the post-Hibiki Riders. The thing that really, really endears Haruto to me is that he's a character who's capable of a lot of subtle characterization and actions. One of the quintessential Haruto scenes for me is from Mayu's debut arc, where he and Shunpei are sneaking into her school. At one point Shunpei hands Haruto his shoe and what follows is a really funny bit of action on Haruto's part that is hilarious, but really understated at the same time. For the most part, Kamen Rider tends to go for very broad, loud, and slapstick humor, so seeing a character who's able to just be subtle - in both humorous and dramatic moments - really appeals to me. Especially when that character is in a show that's so heavily dominated by those kind of loud and obnoxious characters.

I'm honestly not sure if I'd like Haruto as much if he were in a show where everyone was more serious, but as the only sane man in a world full of rubber-faced lunatics I love the guy.
