PS Kind of hoping Beet and Stag are a lot like KickHopper and PunchHopper. Not the completely wasted potential part, but the mentally broken part.

Well, both of the Gouraiger rangers from Hurricaneger were initially evil and even worked for the Space-Ninja Group Jakanja, and like Beet & Stag Busters they also had beetle as motif in a series with three primary rangers, so your theory for evil rangers may not be too far-fetch.
