Yes, but you must remember, Saban did not know what to do with MMPR or where they were going to take the show. They just got lucky Fox was willing to put the show on the air for 8 weeks of 40 episodes and that was all they were going to do. No one knew it was going to become the mega hit it was. It was not until Season 3 where they started to do over arching stories, and even that did not really take full effect until In Space.

That said, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was still stupid. Yes, times and circumstances were different, but I still have to wonder just how this franchise is still around 20 years later when Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was so... poor.

Now is Super Samurai 20 ro 24 episodes? Netflix only has 20 episodes listed, but the last episode is titled Samurai Forever, so it sounds like that is the final episode.

Super Samurai is 23 episodes, one of which is listed separately ("Trickster Treat"), and the other two are clipshows.
