I still think he's the best Rider we've had in a long time. Wizard as a show has a lot of problems, but Haruto is the one part that just totally works.

I'm sure that's the intent, but when the actor is as bland as white bread with butter on it, it absolutely doesn't work.

I'm not doubting Haruto is intended to be a reserved character, since there's things going on that would support that, but the actor is tre-fucking awful, and has zero personality. He's flat as a board, and barely manages to summon base everyday emotions in his voice. It takes a certain talent to play subdued without coing across as emotionally oblivious, and sadly he's utterely vacant in his performance, and that's what will always stop Haruto from being a good character sadly, the acting.

He can't even say his dumb catchphrase without sounding like it's his first take on a morning where he slept in.
