Garren had these huge soap opera moments, that were completely self contained and barely mentioned, if at all, as soon as they finished. Kenzaki was, like many Riders of that time period, almost completely disconnected from Blade. That little girl who Chalice loved deserve a good fucking hiding, and then who was there? I liked Chalice I guess, but between that one episode where he randomly spoke goobledygook and how every episode his personality never lined up, I was just as fed up of him.

Honestly while I shared many of your complaints, (though to a lesser degree) the truth is that most of those things are adressed and improved once the show hits episode 31

Shiori and Kotaro get their arcs, Kenzaki becomes more of the spotlight and Garren's and Chalice's development realy pays off.
