Uhm. What? The tins are DVD cases. They're just metal plated DVD cases. They still have clips inside to hold DVDs. This is an upcoming trend with preorders of some movies, but primarily video games. Usually it has so special artwork or something as well.

I have a tin for Assassin's Creed 3. It's an all metal exterior case with a plastic interior. If anything "things can happen" worse with a plastic case versus a tin, because a tin can literally take a beating or suffer a drop with little to no issue over a plastic case.

They're not going to just give you a tin to have a disc rattle around in without any support.
