So I started watching the DVDs to Kamen Rider Black for the first time since I originally got them in 2005 and I have to say I forgot how slow the show was in the beginning. Outside of some really incredible moments (and episode 5 is amazing), the first 10 episodes are really hard to sit through all at once. Nevertheless, I just finished episode 16 and I also forgot how cool this show was. Despite those 10 episodes, the show itself is nicely done with an intriguing over arching storyline and I love the Gorgom. In fact, I still think to this day that the normal monster designs are by far the best out of any Kamen Rider show for they are the most realistic looking. Kotaro is an awesome hero, and while there are times I do think having a parter would help move his character, he also feels more badass being able to take on everyone by himself. On the other hand, I cannot believe the man gets to go anywhere he wants to. I mean, in one episode he just walks into a press conference where all you see are people who work for the media, and everyone ignores him. Then he just walks past all of these police officers to talk to the chief and does whatever he wants without anyone stopping him first. Either his height is very intimidating to him, or everyone knows he is a Kamen Rider.

With that said, Friday I'll start the next disc, which if I recall, should introduce Bilgenia, who was pretty awesome.
