I can see where the hate comes from with DmC, I played about half an hour and there was already sex, swearing and insults at the original trilogy, it's almost like a parody of the 'gritty' reimaginings from the 90s, but I'm honestly not even sure if the game is in on the joke or not, or is intentionally appearing as not in on the joke as to be a joke in itself.

in the end its a love or hate game i love it due to i love the orginals and this is a reboot and i like how they took it and made the came from scratch with story start with dante and vergil then them hating each other
