Eh, I don't think Soul Calibur would work. Outside of Street Fighter, every fighting game has designs change with each new iteration, but with SC, it's like they hire all new character designers for each game. The differences between some characters going from 2 to 3 is like night and day.
This leads into the question, why would a company try to market the versions of their characters from a decade ago, when the franchise is still on-going?

And McFarlane owns his own toy company, so I don't think Spawn would be licensed out to another company.
