I won't comment on the rest of your thoughts, since if you don't like something, that's your opinion, but I really can't understand this. Other than their personal weapons and transformation devices (which are typical of basically any show), what product placement was there? Compared to Kamen Rider and Sentai and how much they shove ranger keys, lock seeds, magic rings, batteries or whatever else in your face, Precure is really tame in comparison, especially as they don't even make toys of absolutely everything in the show, nor do they spend excess amount of time posing in front of the camera with them.

It's a shame you're giving it up so soon though, it really does have some of the best character development and I found them to be so much more relatable than the typical clumsy/lazy/likes to eat archtypes you see in things like Sailor Moon.
