The group arrives in an area of homes, people screaming and running about amid the chaos. The three push through the people, urging them to safety as well as trying to find whatever caused this. While wiggling through the citizens, more explosions occur causing houses to blow into pieces. The suburban area which was once prosperous has now become a warzone, the sight and sounds of this bringing Paige to tears.

Eventually they arrive at the center of chaos, any sorrow their eyes had immediately turning to pure anger. Standing in the middle of a road with people running for dear life and screaming bloody murder stands the Nightmarerangers. They soon pick up on the arrival of their counterparts, they slowly turning to face them.

“Welcome to the party Dreamrangers.”

“I hope you find the venue acceptable.”

“You bastards! How could you attack these innocent people!” Keiji shouts at the two, he pushing past Paige and Syuri to be closer to the evil ones.
Syuri pushes past Keiji, she clutching her Dream Cellular. Keiji and Paige notice this, they drawing their changers out as well.

“I am going to make you shit heads pay.” She proclaims as she initializes her morphing sequence, Paige and Keiji taking suit.

“It looks like they want to play with us after all.”

“Indeed it does.”

“DREAMSCAPE! OPEN!”

With the words spoken, the three change into their suits, weapons already brandished. They then disappear in a flash, reappearing seconds later in front of the Nightmarerangers, their attack blocked. White laughs as he clamps his hands down against Paige’s Dream Shooter and Keiji’s Dream Trident. Red blocks with both his swords as Syuri leans in to try and force her attack through. Nightmare Red does the same to defend. The two then slam their helmets against each other, releasing a fierce battle cry.

“Do you really think you can beat us?” Red Nightmare asks his female opponent, the two moving circularly around the area deadlocked against each other.

“Heh, of course I can.”

“In your dreams Dreamranger.”

“Heh…I’m going to make that dream a reality!”

Tenth Dream: Shock! Nightmarish Confrontation!

As the two continue pressing against other to continue to out power the other, Keiji and Paige continue to try and double team Black Nightmare. The fiend is too fast for them though as he dodges every shot they take. Black then jumps into the air, removing his sickle swords from his back. Black Nightmare lands behind them, he spinning around immediately and cutting into the legs of Keiji and Paige, sending them down to the ground. He leaps up again after running towards Paige, he slamming his feet into her stomach as he lands, causing her to scream out in pain. He leaps off of her, he falling towards Keiji to repeat the action. The blue ranger is quick enough to act though, he rolling to the side causing Black Nightmare to land on the ground, cracking it a bit. Keiji then reacts immediately, he plunging the Dream Trident into the calf of Black Nightmare.

“GAHHH! YOU FUCKER!” He shouts out. Black then drops to his knees, slamming the tips of each sickle into Keiji’s chest. He then drags them diagonally across the area letting sparks jump and crackle from the attack.

As Keiji cries out in pain with Black Nightmare laughing at it, he fails to notice Paige charging a blast at him. When he hears the sound of energy gathering he turns his head to see what is happening. As he meets Paige’s gaze she releases the bow on the Dream Shooter, releasing a giant ball of pink energy at the enemy.

Black moves out of the way, he bringing one of his blades into the energy ball causing it to burst into pieces. Paige then lets out a little snicker, this attracting the attention of the evil ranger. He then cries out in pain as the individual energy shots slam into him, the force causing him to stagger back some, allowing Keiji to escape over to Paige.

“Nice shot there”

“Heheh, why thank you” Paige responds gleefully.

Their interaction is halted though as they feel a presence behind them. Before they can turn around to investigate, they feel a sharp pain in their backs, the source being Black Nightmare’s knees driving into them. He then flips away, he slamming his blades into the ground as he lands. This action causes the ground to rumble, Keiji and Paige then being assaulted viciously by black lightning over and over. Once the lightning has stopped, The black devil runs up to them, he sending them flying away into a car via a double dropkick.

As Black continues his assault on the two Dreamrangers, Syuri and Red continue to duke it out, they trading blows as if they were slamming in attacks on a game, they blocking each attack the other delivers. Syuri then goes for a kick to his groin, but the Nightmareranger is quick enough to catch her foot with one of his hooks. Syuri then laughs some as he propels herself upwards and over him, she landing a blow with her blade along his back. After Syuri has rolled away some, she switches the Dream Blade into its gun mode, she delivering six quick shots to Red’s body. Red Nightmare staggers some but vanishes afterwards.

“You’re pretty good.” His voice echoes around Syuri.

Syuri looks for him for a couple of moments, her search ending as he bursts from the ground, he delivering an uppercut right up against her chin. Red then proceeds to land repeated kicks to Syuri’s chest, he finishing up this combo with a spinning attack which causes his swords to slam into her side. The force of the impact sending Syuri flying into her teammates, they collapsing into one pile. The two Nightmarerangers regroup a few feet away from the fallen heroes.

“But you’re simply not good enough.” The Red ranger proclaims.

As the Dreamrangers struggle to get up, Black Nightmare looks over at his partner.

“Shall we finish this?”

“Heh…yeah, let us end this bout with something to really leave an impression on our friends the Dreamrangers.”

The two then crouch back some as the fighters of Morpheus watch. Red Nightmare moves his arms back to where the two hooks of his blades are locked together, red and black energy beginning to form around them as well as himself, he growling as he charges dark energy. As he does so, Black Nightmare holds both of his sickle blades in his left hand as he crouches down more, white and black energy forming around him and his weapon just like his partner. The two continue to gather energy, the Dreamrangers trying to crawl away or even stand.

“NIGHTMARE RAZOR WIND!” The two fighters shout out.

They then push their bodies forward and release their weapons, they spinning violently towards the group of Dreamrangers. After a while the blades slam into each other, forming a circular almost cyclone blade of black, white, and red energy, lightning cackling around it. The attack then slams viciously into the Dreamrangers, the impact sending them flying into the air as well as causing the area around them to burst in an explosion, the grounds, trees, and nearby cars exploding with them, leaving a good sized crater where they once laid.

The weapons of the Nightmarerangers soon return to them, they placing them on their backs. The two then turn to walk away, the Dreamrangers slamming into the ground as they do so. The three forcefully are changed out of their suits due to the attack and impact of landing on the ground. The three lay there a broken and bloody mess, the red liquid oozing out of their skin profusely.

The Nightmarerangers start to walk away, their ears being filled with the sounds of agony they brought upon the civilians and the rangers. As they continue to walk, Syuri makes her way out of the crater; she soon followed by her teammates. With what little strength she has left, she lets out a scream towards the men who have brought her into this condition.

“J J JUST WAIT YOU TWO!”

The two men then stop.

“What is it you pathetic woman?” Black Nightmare asks annoyed.

“I I WANT TO KNOW…WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO!” Syuri screams at the Nightmarerangers, her voice hoarse but filled to the core with anger, her two comrades looking on.

“Why should we tell you?”

Keiji manages to make it onto his knees a bit, he supporting himself with his bloodied hand being placed on the ground. He then speaks up, his voice hoarse and pain filled. “Shouldn’t we get to know the names of our assailants? Or do you two not have enough honor to do that!”

The Nightmarerangers go deathly still at Keiji’s words, Black Nightmare clenching his fists violently in reaction. The two then look at each other, giving a slight nod to the other. They then relax their arms, their suits exploding in black energy. With their suits gone, the two men are revealed. Each one wearing a kimono of the same base color and design, pure black with Red featuring red design work, White featuring white coloring. Nightmare Red is tall, his hair long and tied up into a slight ponytail. Nightmare White has short yet long hair, his head wrapped in a white headband. The two then turn around to face the Dreamrangers, revealing their faces. The three look on in shock, they seeing how young the two look, with Red having some lines along his eyes. After minutes of silence, the two speak up.

“Red Nightmare, Kusunaki Musashi.”

“Black Nightmare, Jūbei Musashi.”

After speaking their names, the two men who by their names are brothers, vanish in their usual burst of red and black lightning. The Dreamrangers slowly stand up, each one supporting each as best they can. They look where their foes once stood, Paige eventually speaking out.

“They..they are brothers?”

“I guess so.” Keiji responds.

“But who exactly are these two Musashi brothers?” Syuri throws in, the wind blowing her hair to the side, her face covered in blood nearly. The three then stand there as the sun sets, they pondering about who exactly Kusunaki and Jūbei Musashi are.

“Kusunaki Musashi and Jūbei Musashi?” Edogawa asks.

“Yes. That’s what Syuri said before she passed out.” Aimi explains.

As Aimi sits in front of the computer reporting to Edogawa, she recalls how she came to learn the names of the two new rangers. The group came limping into the apartment, each member covered in blood and dirt, a part of Paige’s bone sticking out of her leg. As Aimi attended to the three of them, Syuri divulged the names of the Nightmarerangers, she then passing out.

Aimi then snaps her head forward at the sound of Dr. Edogawa’s voice, she seemingly had spaced out while remembering the past events. “Yes?” She asks the doctor.

“I was trying to get your attention.”

“Oh…sorry.”

The doctor smiles a bit before he speaks. “It’s alright Aimi. The names don’t bring about any memories or anything that should be alarming to me. However that doesn’t mean we don’t have a record of them somewhere. I’ll have to check our archives and see I come up with. Whenever I have anything for you, I’ll let the four of you know.”

“Alright then.” Aimi responds, she moving her head in a nodding fashion to signify she understands.

“Until then, make those three stay put. I’m sure it’s going to take them a while to heal. I don’t care if they threaten you; you make them stay as much as you can. Understood?” Edogawa asks his human acquaintance.

“Good. Until then, so long.”

“Good day.”

In the Nightmare Realm, all is going well within it. Especially up in the castle that sits in the middle of the hellish world. Within her throne room, Jung Moroi stares down at her new soldiers lovingly as she sits atop her throne. She curls strands of her hair around one of her fingers’, her gold pupils shining in her black eyes. The Nightmarerangers kneel down before her, their ears being filled with her words.

“Jūbei, Kusunaki, my boys you did wonderful today. Not only did you bang up those annoying Dreamrangers, but you sent enough fear into those pitiful humans to fuel some strong nightmares. It was a good day indeed, and it is all thanks to you two.” She says smoothly at them, her mouth grinning ear to ear.

“We are happy to please you our queen. For it is our duty to make your vision come true.” Kusunaki proclaims, he keeping his head bowed respectfully as he speaks to his lord.

“We fight for both our honor and for your name. You have our word that we will not disappoint you in the mission you have given us.” Jūbei adds in.

“Oh I am sure you two will not. That is why I recruited you after all. I needed men who would give it their all, fighting like each battle was their last. Then again, that’s part of your life code isn’t it? It does not matter though! For you fight for me now. You two will make my dream come true of conquering the Dream Kingdom.”

“Of course we will Lord Moroi.” Kusunaki says, he smiling afterwards.

“When shall we strike at the Dreamrangers again?” Jūbei asks

“Hmmm..let us give them time to heal. After all, I want them killed at their strongest. It makes it all the more satisfying that they fall when they’re in top shape. Plus, I’m sure it would deal a huge blow to that king of theirs.”

Both of the evil rangers stand up, they facing their queen directly.

“As you wish our lady.” They say in unison, the word bringing a smile to Jung’s face.

After a couple of weeks have passed, the rangers were in almost full shape again. They being in enough shape to join Aimi for an old timers festival. While everybody there was dressed in traditional clothing such as kimonos, Keiji and Syuri decided to wear their uniforms, only Paige wearing a traditional kimono. The three walk around aimlessly, bored to their wits end.

“Why are we here again?” Syuri asks of her comrades, her hands resting against the back of her head as they walked along the streets.

“Because Miss Aimi asked us to join her. She thought it would be fun for us to learn more about the culture.” Paige responds, she walking alongside Syuri as Keiji lags behind.

“But she left us to go off with her friends.” Keiji throws in.

“Exactly, why should we stay?” Syuri says in response to Keiji.

“Because it would be rude to do so. Besides, she may want to catch up with us later.”

“Whatever.” Syuri responds to her eager teammate.

“Besides, I’m enjoying myself! I only studied Japanese culture briefly; I never got to learn about it fully. And this way I get to learn and experience it!” Paige goes on to say, she smiling brightly.

“Well enjoy it all you want, we’re bored.” Keiji states as he points to himself and Syuri.

The three continue to walk along, Keiji eventually warming up some after spending some time at a weapons dealer. Syuri stays behind the two, she smiling some as she watches Paige having fun. The people stop to ask her questions and take her picture, she allowing them to do so with great glee. The sight of seeing her comrade having this much fun able to make Syuri appreciate Aimi’s weird actions with them more. Paige loses some excitement though, she being groped repeatedly upon her rear by several men. After the seventh does so, she grabs hold of their hand and tosses them to the ground. She simply smiles at him as she proceeds to walk on him to head into a different path, Syuri and Keiji chuckling behind her.

The three exit a restaurant around mid noon, they stretching their arms in a bit of tiredness from eating. The group continues to walk along, Syuri and Keiji now in front of Paige. After walking for a bit more, Paige feels a forceful hand slamming onto her shoulder. She snarls some, getting Syuri and Keiji’s attention, they turning around to see what happened.

“Look pervert. I’m tired of being felt u….” Paige starts, she turning around to face her groper. However she is brought to silence, as are Syuri and Keiji as she sees who grabbed her. The three look in shock as Kusunaki and Jūbei stand there, Jūbei’s hand clenched against Paige’s shoulder.

“You!” Keiji proclaims, he and Syuri stepping forward , they ready to duke it out with the two Nightmarerangers. Before they can start anything though, Kusunaki reveals his hand, a trigged resting in it.

“Come with us, or this whole festival is going to continue in Heaven.” Kusunaki says softly, his voice calm but filled with an edge.

Paige, Syuri, and Keiji look at each other, they eventually nodding at each other and then at the Nightmarerangers. The two take the point of the group, they walking forward through the crowd, the Dreamrangers reluctantly following. As they walk along, they keep their eyes set on the warriors of Jung Moroi, they ready to act if they try anything in their current setting.

Aimi laughs with her friends, she holding a camera and taking pictures of them, herself, and some of the things she finds interesting. As she and her friends leave a milk bar, she notices the rangers walking along, two men dressed in black leading them along. Aimi notices the expressions on her friends are set in stone and show pure anger. After they leave her field of vision, she excuses herself from her friends, she running after Keiji, Syuri, and Paige. As she runs, her head puts together that the two men are the Musashi brothers, she worried about what is about to happen.

After walking for a solid hour, the five stop after arriving in the middle of a forest. Kusunaki and Jūbei walk off some before returning to face the rangers, the three holding clutching their henshin devices.

“My my, the kiddies want to play right away.” Jūbei says tauntingly.

“You’re damn right we do.” Paige replies, her voice low and anger filled, her eyes the same.

“We don’t take to kindly to people threatening an entire festival filled with innocent civilians.” Syuri adds in.

“If only they knew..” Kusanaki begins.

“If only we knew what?” Keiji asks.

“Oh, it’s of no concern to you. Now then, shall we start?” Kusanaki asks of his rivals.

“Why of course.” Syuris returns as she and her comrades transform into the Dreamranger suits.

The Musanashi brothers then raise their arms, each wrist equipped with a brace. They hold their left wrists towards themselves to where the fronts of the devices are point at them. They then raise their arms to where they are diagonally above their respective left arms.

“NIGHTMARE GATE!” The two shout, bringing their right arms down against the left, the braces striking against each other. The two brothers then move their left arms upright and their rights pointing towards it, a key sliding out from the right brace.

*Cue Nightmareranger theme*

“OPEN!” They conclude, throwing their right arms forward, they key sliding into an open slot in the left brace.

The area around the five turns pitch black, lightning slamming down everywhere. The rangers look around as this happens, their eyes becoming locked on the two as they are struck by red and black lightning. When they are visible again, they have their backs turned to the rangers, they in their suits but without helmet.

“Destroying evil in a blaze from within the darkness.” Kusanaki says, he then spins around, he crossing his arms against his chest. “Kusanaki Musashi, Red Nightmare!” After stating his name, a burst of red lightning strikes his head forming his helmet.

“Destroying evil viciously from within the darkness.” Jūbei states, he following his words by spinning around to face the Dreamrangers, his arms out to the side some in an aggressive manner. “Jūbei Musashi, Black Nightmare!” White lightning falls upon his head, it leaving his body soon, Jūbei’s helmet now on him.

“Using the power of the shadows to defeat all who stand in our way!” Jūbei starts.

“Sending them down in pure fear!” Kusanaki finishes.

“Shingai Gundan Nightmareranger!” The two shout at once, they throwing their arms forward, the left laying over the right, both hands spread open.

The Dreamrangers slowly move around the area, the now suited Nightmarerangers doing the same. The three then huddle close together, Syuri speak to them.

“We’ve been outmatched on the ground so far.”

“No shit Sherlock.”

“What do we do then?”

“Simple, we put the ball in our court.”

As Keiji and Paige look at Syuri confused, she stands up straight throwing her arm into the air.

“DREAM RULER, DESCEND!”

The sky then turns a blue like white color, a portal opening up as the Dream Mechs flying out of it. As they fly out, the Nightmarerangers watch as Syuri jumps into the Dream Fighter, Keiji into the Dream Tank, and Paige into her Dream Trailer. The three fly around a bit, they then shouting out the code for the robot mode.

“DREAM GATTAI!”

Keiji's Dream Tank then skids and drifts to a stop, the internal breaks kicking in. The tank then flips upwards as the treads pull them self down to connect with the leg kibble. The front part of the tank then flips out to form the feet. The cockpit then moves up a bit, forming the lower torso, it standing in the sky proudly.

The Dream Fighter that Syuri pilots continues to fly through the sky, and even in between some buildings. It then bursts upwards into the sky, spinning wildly as it flips it's self down from it's fuselage. It then spirals down, locking into position with the cockpit of the tank, the torso now fully formed. The wings then fold inwards, forming the back piece of the mecha.

Paige's trailer then splits itself in two, it shooting out a bit of contents. The trailer then splits again, two pieces flying off towards the leg portion of the tank. They fly down, and then shoot up, sliding onto the feet and leg portion of the tank up to the thigh, forming the final pieces of the legs. Two big portions of the trailer then shoot sideways, locking into the side of the stealth fighter to form the shoulders. Once it does so, a panel opens up in each part, the arms, and then hands shooting out. Finally, the contents it ejected begins to fall down towards it. As it does so, the Dream Fighter opens up a panel of it's own, the head of the mecha sliding up. The contents then slam down onto the head, completing it and forming a helmet, and thus completing Dream Ruler.

The three warriors who now sit in the cockpit of the robo in the middle of the torso fly their giant champion down to the ground, making sure it lands a few feet away from the gigantic wraith, they facing it head on. Dream Ruler's eyes then flash on, they a reddish yellow.

The Nightmarerangers then flash up onto a hill, they looking up at the giant known as Dream Ruler. As they do so, Syuri smirks behind her helmet, she calling out to the two.

“Let’s see you two beat us now!”

“Why brother, it seems they think they have us in check.” Jūbei says to his older brother smugly.

“Indeed.”

“Shall we show them how wrong they are?”

Kusanaki smiles widely behind his helmet at his brother’s question. “Why of course.”

The Dreamrangers look down at their opponents, unable to hear them speaking. They then witness the Nightmarerangers spreading their arms out to the side, their voices then being clearly audible to the three.

“NIGHTMARE RULER!” They begin, Red and Black then throwing one arm up into the air, the other to the ground. “RISE!”
