Okay, I just watched episode 23 of Sun Vulcan. I know the show is dated somewhat, but I expected the Vul Eagle changeover to be a bit more than;
"NASA called. Go to space."
"LOL KAY"
"This new guy who turned up 30 seconds ago, he's now Vul Eagle"
*everybody cheers*

That being said, Vul Eagle 2 already comes across as being far more charismatic than his predecessor.
