I mean the dark overtones are already there from get go honestly, from the nightmarish designs of the villains and the kidnapping of kids with some weird demon train only children can see.

I kinda assumed the whole dead thing would be an asspull as it seems way too early to land something like that in our laps, but who knows right now. It's probably the only time actually watching this subbed added to the experience.

Considering this is a Kobayashi written series, there is a really good chance this might happen.
