Yeah, Beast has the stench of "this is the guy Bandai forced into the show" all over him. It's such a shame to waste a talented actor in a role so disconnected from the story at large. Though in the long run he turns out to be a much more meaningful character than Wizard due to what he does in the final few episodes, utilizing his strengths earlier on would have made him a much better character. Instead we end up with this guy whose main story has absolutely no impact on the main story at large.

Wizard is one of those shows where the head writer just never seemed to care. The guy always complained that he wasn't a fan of TV production due to the fast paced nature and yet thought coming back for Wizard would be a good idea. There were some really cool concepts in there but they lackluster way he presents them made it impossible for me to care about anything because I didn't care about the characters beyond Mayuu and Nito one bit.
