If it was called Alex the lamp, then you'd leave Alex alone as that is a name, but the rest should be translated because none of those are names.

Weapons and mecha don't have names, unless the series directly identifies it as such. An Adventure Rod is exactly that, it isn't the Adventure Rod called Adventure Rod, so Bouken Bou should be translated.

Well, I was specifically relating to mecha in my post. I couldn't care less about weapon translations.

Also, RyuseiOh (along with various other mecha in Super Sentai) are somewhat sentient. Surely that qualifies as them being names in the sense you're talking about?
