Fair enough. It's probably not that hard to do, but the fin and zip has become ingrained into the series as Aoi Kurenai said. To put it into perspective, there's actually a book out that is mostly pictures of the backsides of various Ultras and monsters.

I'm not too familiar with how Kamen Rider suits are worn, but I always kind of assumed they were put on in layers. Ultraman suits usually look like some kind of weird chrysalis.

And...yeah, that happens a lot. I think it's supposed to simulate the consistency of skin and all that entails. I guess I now know why most recent Ultramen have sculpted abs.
