1: Gamou needs Fourze to activate the Core Switch, so by training him to be ruthless, he can remove his friends from the equation without removing Fourze's powers (And he'll trick Gen into thinking the Core Switch can bring back his friends or something...)
2: ...I actually can't think of one.

I can't make a reading on his plans. He helped Ryusei with his revenge against Aries by giving him the Meteor Driver, gave him the Meteor Storm upgrade, actually removed his powers when he killed Gen, and never revealed his identity to Gamou.
And now he's training Fourze? Yeah. I can't wait for next episode.

Damn, these last couple episodes of Fourze have been so freaking amazing.
