No, it's pretty badly ignored in Japan, too. Not as bad as the early 80s Riders, but of the Legendary Seven you can easily tell that X is one of the least popular.

At least until his actor agrees to come back for the new movie (where apparently he, Takumi, and Haruto have their own story arc which is already my favorite part of the film).

btw, someone over at HJU has seen and summarized the Rider War movie if you're curious about how it turned out. Apparently it's pretty good until the main threat is defeated and the Showa Riders decide to kill the Heisei guys solely because the plot demands it. But then Gaim tries to save a flower and everybody's cool again.
