So I checked out the first episode of Majin Bone.

In itself, I kinda like the idea of anime tokusatsu. Part of the charm of toku for me is seeing them realise super powered battles with real people, week after week but the budget restraints are undeniable. Thus it's a pretty exciting prospect to imagine how toku might look if it wasn't battling against the rules of the real world, both in terms of science and economics. Although, I have yet to see a show that really captures how delicious this premise sounds.

Sadly Majin Bone is another show like that, it was just a sort of generic, bland anime, like a lot of the stuff I've watched this year. The action scenes have potential but the clunky CG animation kills it before it gains momentum.

Meh.
