Kabuto Episode 7
Getting straight to the action. I like this episode already. I do really question Zect though, I mean you would think they'd give the Zectroopers some sort of weapon upgrade. It's obvious they're no match for the Worms and if whatever rider they're using can't show up, then they pretty much screwed the pooch on whatever operation they're doing. So why not just upgrade their armor and weapons so that they can at least stand a chance against Worms before they clock up? Or just take the Smart Brain approach and make belts and suits for them to use similar to the Riotroopers? I do not understand this company from a logical military standpoint.

On the upside though...Bee is here and his suit is as awesome as it looks in toy form. I'm not the biggest fan of how the Masked Forms look, but I'm digging the one TheBee has. Looks pretty nifty. Though if he has a Wasp Zector, why is he called TheBee and not TheWasp (And why is it Kamen Rider TheBee and not just Kamen Rider Bee)? Curious to see how the henshin works since the Zecotr is on his arm and not the belt.

It does appear though that this Shadow does in fact have it's shit together. They went in there like an actual military force. And TheBee himself isn't too shabby, he did take all of the Worms out with just a few punches after all.

Oh how I love the relationship between these two. They really do come off as brother and sister.

These two look like they'll get along justttttttttttttttttttttttttt fine.

We now bring you to Iron Chef: Kamen Rider Edition!

Wow Hiyori is all for trying to get Kagami fired isn't she? She really doesn't like him I suppose. Though to be fair I don't think she likes people as a whole.

I take it Tendou has rarely ever lost in his life. Either that, or he was asking a legitimate question and Yaguruma took it as being a sore loser. Either way who cares, it was over tofu, and tofu is bleh.

Why would the Worm attack a wedding in the first place? Was it sent down here to rob people of happiness by the Zangyack? It could be jealous though of all of the love people are receiving on a wedding day. Or it just has a pension for attacking churches when weddings are going on.

It is only targeting those in white clothes? Why? I mean I know I'm not going to get an explanation, but I still can't but help wonder why it would only target those in white.

So it's a henshin bracelet? Huh, that's a new one for Kamen Rider. Well in terms of transforming into your main base form. Curious though as to why it isn't a belt system for him (and going by the toys some of the other riders). That is probably something that will also not be explained.

Those things have blade attachments? Huh, learn something new everyday.

So basically Rider Sting is just a good old fashioned with a Rider Punch?

Oh it is on like Donkey Kong now.

Well I must say episode seven was quite the nice episode.

The story was here, and wasn't half bad. It did a good job of introducing our new character in Yaguruma, and presenting the now present conflict of Kabuto not being needed in the eyes of Zect, and how he now has a rival in TheBee. This also ended up adding to the main overarching story of the show as it did introduce both a new important character as well as a new rider. So I'd say story wise this episode had it's shit together.

Pretty much all of the reoccurring characters didn't get any development this episode. However I'll accept it since this episode had the task of introducing a new character. Yaguruma is quite the nice character IMO. He's sort of like a calmer and more zen version of Tendou, which of course makes him the perfect contrast and rival to Tendou who is a bit more vocal and not all that calm. The story did a good job of setting up who he is and some of his beliefs, both of which shine through his character. So while the episode wasn't heavy on development, it did have one sparkle of it which wasn't bad at all.

And now we come to what has for all but a few hiccups been my favorite part of the show so far: the action. I found the action to be lacking in the last two episode, and it came back full force (insert Rider Chips here) in this one. The fight in the beginning between Zect, Shadow, and TheBee versus the Worms was done very well and showcased just how outclassed regular old Zectroopers are compared to those of Shadow, as well as showcase Bee's strengths. The fight at the end was pretty nice as well as it showed a real clash of styles in terms of fighting between Tendou and Yaguruma. Overall I thought the action kicked some real ass this episode.

The episode as a whole had a real kick ass vibe to it. I don't know if it's because having to introduce a new rider meant that they had to throw so much into the three mean categories to get him over well, but whatever the cause this episode came out really well. It was entertaining and was good on a critical level.

P.S. I love TheBee's suit. I think I like it just a tiny bit more then Kabuto's.
