I actually loved this scene, piss and all. It's not played for laughs (to the viewer) but meant to show how frightening Bazoo can be and what they have to put up with to save the things they care about.

Sentai from this era does take a little longer to get going on this front. If you can make it into the teens you'll be able to remember their names and personalities by that point. They all eventually become a fun bunch of characters to follow.
