It's weird that a LOT more of Toku powers involve a direct impact on the user, and yet it's also a medium that really never truly explore those effects on the body compared to its American counterparts and their own spandex clad heroes, who seem much more interested in the ramifications of powers even if they aren't ever quite as outwards as toku are in how immediate these effects are.

Well they didn't really explain the problems with photon blood clearly in the show as well. Especially for Faiz Blaster, which is pretty much a suicidal upgrade.
