Seems weird that most everyone here hates him (and with good reason I might add) yet we call him by his pet name. A name that doesn't really fit a evil mastermind.

I wouldn't call it a pet name. It's the name he goes by with his (former) friends and it's how Kouta, Mai, and the other Beat Riders think of him. That's the name and persona they will associate with his betrayal and it doesn't seem out-of-place to refer to him as that in discussion.

That's just my $.02 on the matter.
