Picked up Amazing Spider-Man. I heard the first one was a lot better than the second one, and with Wolverine, Captain America and Green Lantern all getting good movie tie in games I've stopped writing off tie in games in the water and given them a chance.

And...eh. It controls kinda awfully. Spider-Man is obviously a pretty complex mover, and to make it accessible to a mass audience - kids - the way Spider-Man controls is basically one button a hundred animations. So on screen he looks amazing, flipping through the air and all that but actually in your hands the controls feel insulting loose as you're just smashing the same button as the game holds your hand. This is especially frustrating as the game puts emphasis on stealth, and stealth needs tight controls with lots of freedom.

Still the game is a direct sequel to the movie, so it's very much a story and character driven game while being very funny with lots of pop culture nods so it isn't like it's been a total wash yet.
