Who do we cast blame upon? The tipsy artist? The Rosebud-ing tycoon worshipping coin? Or the vagrant who claims knowledge and wisdom?

Or do we look inward and say our time has passed, reluctantly leaving the new generation with what remains of the Golden Age?

I hear stuff like this and i'm reminded of a line from a top the fourth wall.
