Chapter 1 Part 4: Crashing the party.

Detective Grant Garrenson was at his office staring at the portal that had opened nearby. Being that it was by his brownstone he had to be the one that took the case.'The department's getting lazier by the day if no one else to tackle this simply because it's not right by THEIR offices' Garrenson thought. If nothing else he just wanted it go away so he could at least get severance pay and get those bills paid. There was no way he was going without water for over a week again. Cooking was a nightmare and the smell, ugh! Better to scrape by than do without something so important. No sooner than he thought this the portal surged with electricity and out came five of the strangest vehicles he'd ever seen. They were larger than any other racer, jet or boat on Earth and the animal themes and colors were, to him somewhat tacky.

But what happened next was something the pilots nor Grant could had anticipated. The crafts know as the Monsterrors busted into balls of light than went into the belt buckles of five strangely dressed people. Odder still was after than they glowed brightly then monsters fell into his window."WHAT TH-"The impact scared him too much to even finish his sentence.

About a hour of so later, the five Nightmarangers woke up to the sight of a man in a mustard colored suits sitting across from them with a look of awe and bewilderment." I suppose you need to know two things first. I'm known as Detective Grant Garrenson. My department is under going renovations so money's tight.I don't know why I'd tell any of you this but I guess when you're frustrated enough things just slip out. I've been living on paycheck to paycheck with little else money wise so things here are in a state of disrepair. Second, you're in Kyoto, Japan and monsters like you are pretty old hat by now. With that out of the way how do you plan to fix my window, hmm?"

Blaise was the first to speak"I'll be honest, I'm very sorry about what happened. But I'm surprised you're not afraid of us.If you don't mind my asking, why is it you can talk to us like we're normal?" Grant cleared his throat and simply told them"Because you are normal,relatively speaking. Normally, monsters just attack people like me on sight. You five were not only not trying to fall on me, you looked remorseful about what had happened. I guess I'm a little desensitized in regards to odd going-ons. I'm sorry, I should have asked for your names first."

Blaise was the first to tell him his name, followed by Melia, Gregory and Aiko. Alasdair was somewhat reluctant to reveal his name, but a sharp poke in the ribs from Melia changed his mind.

"From the outfits you were wearing I take it you're a Super Sentai, correct?" Grant asked. "You bet!" Greg beamed "To be honest we were meant as the first strike force of a ruler we once served called Overshadow. He wishes to conquer your world so he can expand his empire" Detective Garrenson slipped his coffee, which was lukewarm by now and said"So what happened? You clearly weren't attacking anything, just flying by in a panic. What exactly happened out there?"

"We were meant to go under cover as a super hero team to gain the people's trust here. Then once their defenses were down, the Nightshade Empire's armies would attack full force, as Gregory has stated" Aiko told him."We had done research on your world so we would be able to blend in. But something happened during our review of Earth."

"The truth is we fell in love with it" Melia sighed happly."You guys have no idea how lucky you are that you can laugh, cry and do most anything you want without fear of death" "That's not totally true, but I take it Overshadow's not the most kindhearted ruler you had." Grant told Melia

"He conquered out world and killed our families because they would not bow to his rule. We only had each other to depend on since every other officer was loyal to him, to a fault" Alasdair bitterly shot out.[COLOR="Yellow"]"I was the only one who did not enjoy looking at your world's history. We looked over everything that mattered in your world and I was not impressed." [/COLOR]"Oh don't mind him, he's always like that with everything" Melia half-laughed."But the one thing we all agreed on was how awesome your heroes are. We wanted to be a Super Sentai too so we tricked Overshadow's R&D to make us Sentai gear too"

"Once we had what we needed we broke out and entered your dimension. But the Monsterrors needed to recharge, as did our suits. That's why we fell since we ran out of power for both" Blaise quietly whispered. He was thankful to be alive after that stunt. Aiko put a conforming arm around his shoulder."The important thing is we're here, as a family. But Grant is correct. We do need to cover the damages we caused."

"I'm just wondering how you plan to do that" Grant asked."After all, you're going to freak people out with disguises and you'll need good ones"

"That's not goin' be a problem!" Gregory boomed."There's a niffy feature that doesn't take much power from the Cloaking Cells and it's the one we want to try the most"

"It's the one all four of you want to try" Alasdair corrected."I'm just going along with this so I don't go mad with boredom" With that out of the way all five inputted HUMAN FORM on their CCs. Within a few seconds all five were the spitting image of humans.

Blasie was a young man with a sad looking face with a mop of unruly hair that was dyed crimson in streaks half covering his brown eyes.. Gothic clothes that were black with red highlights completed his look.

Melia was a teenage girl with long, black hair that fell to her shoulders. She was wearing a green long shelved shirt and blue jeans with black sneakers that had green laces.Her eyes were black with a tinge of green in them.

Gregory turned into a teenage boy with spiky white hair. He was wearing a blue plaid shirt that was unbuttoned, reveling a mesh undershirt. Blue pants with flames printed on the legs and sneakers with blue laces were part of his look too, with eyes the color of red clay.

Aiko had a black bob haircut that complemented her soft hazel eyes. A pink sundress with a white coat and high heels is her outfit. Her lips had on coral pink lipstick that sparkled a little bit.

Alasdair's human form was to put it bluntly, harsh looking. He had a buzzcut that was very short, piercing blue eyes, a leather jacket with chains attached to the right shoulder, a gold T-shirt, dark blue jeans with the knees worn out and workboots. In both ears were gold rings that looked as if they seen better days.

"I have to admit those are impressive looks you guys" Grant told them. They were all pleased, very much so in the case of Melia and Gregory."Now then, what are you going to do for jobs? I can't really take care of five freeters and myself." But the peaceful mood was ruined by the sight of a cybernetic octopus that was the size of a building."You five are under arrest for the crime of desertion. If you come quietly, I will speak on your behalf to out master" Octocrush bellowed.

"There is no chance for that happening! We like not having to kiss Overshadow's overrated butt all the time!" Melia shouted at him." I think it's time you were on your way, tentacle breath!" Octocrush wasn't pleased with that answer.

"Alright everyone, I think the Monsterrors are fully recharged by now. Let's see what they can do against him." Blasie calmly said. With that all five whipped out their Cloaking Cells and selected the Suit Up feature.

"Eclipse Formation!" Soon all five were in Nightmaranger form and were ready for action. It didn't take long to find the Monsterror feature in the CCs."Arise, Monsterrors!" With a beam of light the five vehicles soared in the night sky. They then teleported into their respective cockpits and used their Heart Keys to turn them on.

"Nightbat, ready to prowl."

"StrikerHawk, it's time to fly!"

"HoverToad's ready for action!"

"Howling Racer's going to charge on ahead!"

Alasdair just said that the SeaStallion was online.

With that all five went ahead to combat Octocrush.
