Let's assume for a minute that the new Garo anime is highly successful. There's nothing saying it won't be, but for the sake of argument let's say it is. Highly rated, the merch sells awfully well, everyone's happy.

What could this mean for other Toku Shows getting their own anime adaptations? There are a couple pros to deciding to do a season of Sentai or Kamen Rider as an anime instead of live action. Price being the biggest. No having to spend budget on sets, costumes, elaborate villains, special effects, locations. Pyrotechnics. You could do more visually than you can with a LA show. You can have the Mechs look however you want without being bound by what the prop department can do. Same with the villains. And there are plenty of production houses to choose from. You could choose a different house/style each season to change it up.

I don't think though we'll see one right away if we do see one. What I think might happen is they'll do a special full-length movie as an anime first. See how that works and then go on from there.
